Delivery, Breakages and Returns

We are very passionate about our wine, and once purchased, we are just as passionate about making sure it gets to you safely and on time. We use the best 100% recycled and recyclable packaging to ensure your wines arrive as intended.   

United Kindom Delivery

Standard delivery is £9.95*

Free delivery on orders over £100 in the South Wales area.

Free delivery in the UK on all orders over £250*

*Excludes Highlands and Islands of Scotland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland

South Wales

We deliver Next Day Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm in the South Wales area. 

Rest of the UK

Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm via courier and 2-3 working days after receipt of your order.   

Deliveries are made via courier and are tracked. You will be emailed your tracking number once dispatched from our shop/warehouse and on the day of delivery will get an email/text message about your delivery. In these Covid, socially distanced times, delivery is made Covid Safe and requires a visual confirmation of delivery.

Our courier will attempt to deliver the wine twice. If the recipient fails to accept the delivery or to respond to the calling cards, the wine will be held for collection at the courier’s depot for five working days. After this, the wine will be returned to Wine Republic. We, unfortunately, have to charge for delivery again if you need us to resend the wine. Every effort will be made to ensure the wine is delivered the first time. However, it is the delivery recipient’s responsibility to communicate convenient delivery dates to Wine Republic or to our courier.

We do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage which occurs once the goods have been left at the delivery address 

Non-standard delivery

We can arrange the following delivery services that are not currently available on the website.

  • UK mainland next day delivery including Saturdays
  • Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles, Isle of Man, Scottish Islands
  • Europe

Breakages 

We use the highest rated impact-proof packaging available, but in the unlikely event that your goods are damaged in transit, Wine Republic will offer the choice of either a replacement or a full refund including any postage costs incurred. Please contact us immediately by email at hello@wine-republic.co.uk

Damaged bottles and packaging should be kept for inspection. You must notify us within 2 working days of receipt of the goods. If you fail to notify us, we will have no liability to you.   We will collect the goods or ask you to return them to us at our expense and once, acting reasonably, we have examined the item and confirmed it is faulty/an incorrect delivery, we will provide you with a refund or replace the goods or send substitute goods.

Returns 

If you would like to return or exchange your order, you have 30 days from the day you receive your order to do so.

If you decide to return or exchange please first contact us at hello@wine-republic.co.uk to let us know that you wish to do this and how you are going to do this.

Returned goods must be in a resaleable condition with bottle labels and or gift box intact. When posting returns, suitable packaging must be used to ensure safe delivery. We suggest you retain your original delivery packing for this purpose.  You will be charged for the delivery of the return which will be £9.50 per parcel.

Fine Wine Policy

1.1 If you are a consumer, then we warrant that the wines purchased from us will be of excellent quality. If you are a business, then we confirm that we have made reasonable endeavours to ensure that wines sold by us are of excellent quality.

1.2 We do not warrant taste or drinkability of wines purchased as drinkability and taste are subjective judgements.

1.3 With respect to older or high-value wines, we make every effort to verify the provenance of such wines, but we cannot guarantee the authenticity or quality of the wine in the bottle.

1.4 Older products may age and mature in different ways, which may not be to all tastes, and some wines may deteriorate in quality.

1.5 We regret that, given the nature of the wines we sell, we do not provide refunds for corked wines.
