Red WineChateau Le Pey is made up of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot and comes from a vineyard area of 32 hectares. The soils here are clay and limestone and the average age of the vines is 20 years of age. The wine spends 12 months in oak of which 25% is new. This Château is situated just north of St-Estèphe.
This excellent value Bordeaux, opens in the glass with an appealing complex bouquet (ripe grapes, wood, and spices). On the palate, it is a full and well-balanced wine.
Rose WineMade from 100% Cabernet Franc juice, this unique Rosé displays flavours of ripe strawberries, cassis and candyfloss with a juicy, crisp and dry finish. The grapes were handpicked in the early hours of the morning from selected vineyards on the Helshoogte and Helderberg Mountain.
Made during an exceptionally balanced year. A lifted and perfumed nose displaying complex notes of violets, blackcurrant and ripe berries. The colour is quite rich, almost dark, suggesting a fuller-bodied flavour profile. The palate is elegant, yet sings with ripe fruits, and is extremely juicy with deep richness and structure. This mix of pure fruit combines with fine oak tannins that lead to a lovely fragrant dark chocolate, minerally dry finish.
‘Garage wines’ is a term used to describe wines that are produced in the back sheds of French winemakers, who make small batch wines of the highest quality. Our galvanized, corrugated ‘garage’ was built in 1927 and still houses the traditional equipment used in the handcrafting of this wine.

This complex blend of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Casavecchia is made grapes picked at an altitude of 1,350 metres above sea level hence the name ‘Altitude 1350’. It is one of a trio of Dona Paula wines focusing on the altitude of unique and exceptional vineyards. The other 2 being ‘Altitude 969’ and ‘Altitude 1100’. All three are exceptional and available from us.
In the glass Altitude 1350 is a complex, beautifully balanced red wine with spicy and floral notes from the Cabernet Franc and vibrant red fruit notes from the Malbec. Elegant and well-structured with polished tannins which give a long, persistent finish.
The addition of Casavecchia, an extremely rare red grape variety from Campania in Italy, is particularly unique and interesting as Casavecchia has high levels of anthocyanins which impart its wines with deep colours and strong, supple tannins.
The grapes for Doña Paula 1350 come from 2 blocks (No10 and No7) of the Alluvia vineyard located in Gualtallary at 1,350 meters above sea level.
Red WineHead winemaker Rafael Urrejola has spent a great deal of time understanding the diversity of Chile’s vineyard sites; the result is the emblematic ‘Terroir Hunter’ range.
In the glass this Cabernet Franc has an intense ruby red colour and great clarity, it expresses fresh aromas of black fruits such as blackberries, blueberries and blackcurrant mixed with floral tones such as violets. On the palate it is fresh, intense and elegant, firm tannins, with a fruity and unctuous medium palate. The finish is long and persistent.
The Cabernet Franc grapes were sourced from a selected vineyard planted exclusively for this range in Catemito, in the Valle de Maipo. The daily temperatures during the summer are lower in this area than in the rest of the Valle de Maipo, decreasing substantially in March and April, providing the ideal conditions for the tannins to ripen completely and to ensure that the fresh aromas and flavours are preserved. Catemito is located on an alluvial terrace which was formed in the Holocene period, approximately 10,000 years ago.
Red WineA fine, elegant wine with plump red berried fruit and delicate hints of oak spice. Smooth and supple on the palate, with fine tannins and a long, persistent finish.
Château Preuillac is located in the heart of the Médoc. The vineyard covers 30 hectares on a single site. The soils vary with 50% of the vineyard being clay, limestone, and gravel soils; 25% gravel soils, and 25% sandy-gravel. The average age of the vines is 40 years. The vineyard is managed according to the principles of ‘la lutte raisonnée’, or sustainable viticulture. Much of the work in the vineyard is done by hand to optimise the quality of the harvest.
Red WineA traditional and deeply coloured Bordeaux, with a delicate, elegant bouquet of blackcurrant and tobacco through to a smooth, silky palate with a touch of raspberry on the finish. This second wine of Château Cantemerle comes mainly from the Château’s young vines and is produced in the same way as its elder brother. Les Allées de Cantemerle has the same great personality as the Grand Vin, but is ready to drink earlier.
Situated in the Haut-Médoc, the Château de Cantermerle vineyard covers 91 hectares of vines. The soils are silica-gravel, which are a result of a thousand-year-old erosion of the Pyrenees by the River Garonne and form one of the fundamental elements of this quality vineyard. The soils are poor in nutrients, so the vines ‘struggle’, resulting in grapes with a high concentration of flavour. In addition, the small pebbles in the soil provide a filter and contribute to the grape’s maturity by reflecting the sun’s rays during the day and retaining the heat during the cooler nights. The vines have an average age of 30 years.

Red WineThis is an intensely aromatic Bordeaux blend with notes of fresh plum layered with sweet roasted cocoa, tobacco and characteristic Bolgheri balsamic notes. Silky and smooth on the palate with a fresh finish.
The Campo alle Comete winery is located at the foot of the Castagneto Carducci hill in Bolgheri. The oldest vines are planted around the cellar surrounded by the Mediterranean bushland. The proximity of the sea with its constant refreshing breezes plays an important role in the vine’s growth and for the maturation of the fruit, where the fresh breezes impart natural balancing acidity to the sun-ripened fruit.
Red WineThis delicious three-way blend was carefully crafted from grapes grown on the estate. It comprises 55% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc and 19% Cabernet Sauvignon and was matured for 17 months in 30% new, 50% second fill- and 20% third fill French oak barrels. The wine was not fined, but only lightly filtered prior to bottling to subtly mellow the rich tannin structure. This vintage shows the phenomenal structure and freshness that has become synonymous to the Constantia Glen THREE, but also has excellent concentration. This means that it can be enjoyed in its youth, yet it will certainly age and develop admirably for another 10-12 years under correct cellaring conditions.
In the glass, the nose of this wine has great expression with forthcoming red and black fruit aromas. Following these initial ripe fruit aromas, there is a complex collection of savoury notes woven with lingering flavours of tomato leaf, blackcurrant, and cedar. The palate shows great intensity and complexity of flavours with the dark fruit and distinct savoury notes on the nose following flawlessly onto that first sip. The fine-grain, elegant and velvety tannins really compliment the richness of the wine and promise great aging potential if stored under correct cellar conditions. This full-bodied blend has an earthy minerality and an inherent freshness that brings about a lingering, well-defined finish.
The vineyards that the grapes come from for this wine are tucked in the steep valley on the eastern side of Table Mountain. The climate is Mediterranean with cooling breezes from the Atlantic Ocean encouraging balance and complexity in the grapes, this combined with the cool southern slopes and deep mountain soils provide the ideal setting for the making of these top quality wines.

This is a powerhouse of a wine, the 4 grape varieties are united in an intriguing and authoritative wine that casts a net of attractive aromas to reel you in. Its hedonistic charm of plum, mulberry, cassis, and blackberry is underpinned with masculine notes of English leather, cedar, tobacco, truffle, and cured meat. The palate is delicious and mouth-filling.
This suave Cabernet Sauvignon-driven blend is undoubtedly intended to set sail for a long-lived journey and beckons those in search of a focussed and multi-faceted wine. Adorning this solid backbone, Merlot contributes with lively red fruit and a cool note of fennel that resurfaces as the wine develops in the glass. This 2019 Classic Blend is a collaboration between Harry Hartman and Tongai Joseph Dhafana, a refugee who turned winemaker, an award-winning Sommelier, a wine judge, a philanthropist and the proud owner of the internationally recognised Mosi Wines and Spirits.
In the glass, the wine unleashes a refreshing fragrance born from sun-baked-slate, ripe berry fruit, and a peppery perfume of lavender. The wine is packed with dark fruit like blackberry, mulberry, and plum, with a cool, herbaceous gloss. Hints of rum and raisin positively points to full ripeness, joined by a notable yet balanced alcohol adding to the full, rounded texture of the wine. Clever use of oak adds structure while honouring the fruit, affirmed with a mellow and gentle pull of berry compote. Garigue aromas persist on the palate, edged with fresh acidity and supple tannin for a mouth-watering finish. A coolness lingers on the palate with a gentler aftertaste of dark, sea salt chocolate. Red WineFinca Decero is a world-class wine producer located in the Agrelo sub-appellation of Luján de Cuyo in the northwestern part of the province of Mendoza. Their famed Remolinos Vineyard derives its name from the little whirlwind spiral formations of soil which form in the afternoon as the gentle wind lifts the dry soil from the paths of the vineyard into swaying ‘dust devils’. This natural phenomenon draws the attention of our overly protective Lechuza owls in the vineyard who sometimes take flight seemingly to chase them away!
2018 is a stellar vintage in Mendoza and will be long remembered.
The 2018 Decero Mini Ediciones Cabernet Franc is one of their ‘rare varieties & limited edition’ wines. Of this vintage, only 7,192 bottles were made. The wine shows nuances of pepper, graphite and plum notes with fresh aromatics and taut acidity resulting in a well-structured, elegant Cabernet Franc with great potential for ageing.

The black fruit and sweet spice follow through to the palate and the firm structure promises excellent ageing potential.
