Guerrieri Rizzardi2020 Recioto di Soave DOCG Classico, Guerrieri Rizzardi
Veneto, ItalyVintage: 2020
Crafted from hand-selected Garganega grapes grown in the sun-drenched vineyards of the Soave Classico zone, this Recioto represents the pinnacle of sweet wine tradition. The vineyard sites chosen for their age, optimal exposure, and naturally low yields produce loose, well-formed bunches ideal for the traditional appassimento (drying) method.
After harvesting, the grapes are gently laid in drying rooms (fruttai) for several months to concentrate sugars and complexity. Fermentation is slow and careful, followed by ageing in small oak barrels, enhancing the wine’s texture and aromatic depth.
In the glass, the 2020 Recioto di Soave shines with a golden hue, offering a luxurious nose of ripe stone fruit, citrus peel, and honeycomb. On the palate, it is lusciously sweet yet impeccably balanced, with vibrant acidity that lifts the richness and creates a long, harmonious finish. Notes of candied apricot, orange zest, and almond linger, underpinned by a crisp structure and elegant freshness.
Pair with: A classic match for almond tarts, blue cheeses, fruit-based desserts, or simply enjoy it on its own as a luxurious after-dinner wine.
Ageing potential: 10+ years if properly cellared.

Description
Guerrieri Rizzardi is a renowned winery located in the Veneto region of northern Italy, specifically in the Valpolicella area. The winery has a rich history and is well-known for producing high-quality wines that highlight the traditional and modern winemaking techniques of the region.
Guerrieri Rizzardi’s vineyards are situated in some of the finest wine-growing areas in Veneto, primarily in the Soave and Valpolicella regions. These regions are famous for their volcanic soils, which provide ideal conditions for growing the region’s signature grape varieties. The terroir, combined with the winery’s commitment to sustainable farming practices, contributes to the distinctive characteristics of its wines.
The winery’s vineyards are located at varying altitudes, which helps to create a balance between the ripeness of the fruit and the freshness in the wines. The combination of different climates and soils enhances the complexity of the wines and allows for a broad range of wine styles.
Alcoholic fermentation after pressing of the destemmed grapes for 20 days at a temperature of 15°-20° C in 25 hl stainless steel tanks. This is followed by drying of the grapes for a few months in 5kg wooden cases to dehydrate and concentrate the sugars.
