  • 2017 White Label Chardonnay, Petaluma Wine Republic Heros White Wine

    2017 White Label Chardonnay, Petaluma

    £1850

The 2017 Petaluma White Label Chardonnay is a bright, fruit-forward wine. Subtle stone fruits and citrus on the nose combine with lovely creaminess and ripe melon on the palate. Subtle oak frames lovely Adelaide Hills acidity. A complex creamy-textured fruit-driven wine, typical of the modern cool-climate Australian Chardonnay style. Mouth-filling and complex now, it will reward medium term cellaring, filling out in the bottle.

The White Label range is crafted in the same Petaluma philosophy as the highly regarded Yellow Label. The grapes are grown in the key regions of Adelaide Hills (Chardonnay) and Coonawarra (Cabernet). These wines are perfect to enjoy upon their release and get better with 5-7 years of age.  Great highly drinkable wines for occasions with friends, family and food!

  • NV Croser ‘Adelaide Hills’ Sparkling, Petaluma Wine Republic Heros Champagne & Sparkling Wine

NV Croser ‘Adelaide Hills’ Sparkling, Petaluma

    £2150

Petaluma Croser sparkling wine is a truly awesome wine and seriously good value, a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, made by the Champagne method.

The Chardonnay offers nectarine, cashews and biscuity characters — the backbone of the Croser Non-Vintage palate — with the Pinot Noir providing a fine mousse and strawberry fruit lift. Incredibly bubbly, with a long-lasting dry finish.

As is the tradition with non-vintage Champagne, this wine is a blend of the current vintage Croser with reserve wine from several older vintages — with each vintage adding distinctive qualities to the final blend. Croser Non Vintage stays true to the ‘aperitif’ style of Vintage Croser, showcasing a rich, full blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from selected sites in the cool climate Piccadilly Valley and other parts of the Adelaide Hills.

Hand-picked fruit is whole bunch pressed or crushed and pressed, with the free-run juice then fermented using Petaluma’s specially selected yeast strain in barrique and tank. The tiraged sparkling wine is left to age on yeast lees for 12 months and disgorged on demand — this ensures the wine retains optimum freshness and vitality.

  • 2013 Croser Vintage Sparkling, Petaluma Wine Republic Heros Champagne & Sparkling Wine

    2013 Croser Vintage Sparkling, Petaluma

    £2795

Petaluma Croser is one of the true premium quality sparklings produced in Australia.

In the glass, this magnificent 2013 vintage Croser is complex, elegant and creamy with a nose redolent of honey and cashew and an alluring citrus lift. The palate shows wild strawberry Pinot characters alongside a more buttery nectarine Chardonnay before a soft yeasty finish buoyed by green apple acidity.   36 months on lees really adds to the complexity of this outstanding wine.

All of the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes for Croser are grown in Petaluma’s Piccadilly Valley vineyards at between 400 and 500 metres ASL, on the cool south and west facing slopes of Mount Lofty and Mount Bonython in the coolest viticultural region in South Australia.

  • 2020 M3 Chardonnay, Shaw & Smith – MagnumWhite Wine

    2020 M3 Chardonnay, Shaw & Smith – Magnum

    £7900

A Magnum of the iconic M3 Chardonnay from a high quality, low yielding vintage.  This wine opens with intense aromas of white flowers, nectarine and citrus. Aiming for elegance, restraint and the ability to age, the acidity is bright and there is generosity of flavour.

Fruit was predominantly sourced from the Shaw + Smith vineyard at Lenswood, which was planted in 1999 and purchased by Martin and Michael in 2012. Undulating with east and west-facing aspects at 455 – 500 metres above sea level, the soils are brown loams over clay with broken shale on the ridges. Low yields were achieved by aggressive pruning and pre-harvest bunch thinning. All fruit was hand-picked to avoid any fruit damage.
