Chateau Duhart-Milon was the only 4th growth Pauillac wine in the 1855 classification, recognising the quality of Duhart-Milon’s terroir.
The 2000 vintage was marked by excellent weather in many respects: early blossoming, a combination of above-average temperatures and normal rainfall, followed by a harvest in the sun. The result was an exceptional vintage with fine tannins, deep colours, remarkable length and balance.
In the glass, this maturing wine has striking aromas of plum, tobacco, meat and cedary with some tertiary notes of leather and truffle. The palate is still full of primary fruit such as cassis and spice, the tannin is still hovering nicely and gives the wine a regal character. The finish is long, juicy and balanced. Drink now to 2030.
