The vibrant acidity balances beautifully with the sweetness of this wine, making it very refreshing. This wine is amazing with Chocolate desserts and cheese. This really is one of those wow wines and always elicits the same response – wow!
This wine also has a great birth story – In 1983 a nearby grower brought Andrew Quady some Black Muscat grapes that were previously destined for sacramental wine at a local church. When the church ceased operations, the grower was left with truckloads of perfectly ripe grapes. Upon hearing that newcomer Quady had some success with Orange Muscat, he knocked on Quady’s door and the rest as they say, is history.
White WineThis vibrant Chardonnay delivers fruity aromas of peach, mango, pineapple and melon. Beautifully balanced on the palate, with refreshing citrus flavours through to a long finish.
The estate covers 500 acres of vineyards throughout the Lodi American Viticultural Area, which are situated between the Sierra Nevada foothills and the San Francisco Bay. The Chardonnay grapes are grown in the Delta region, west of Lodi, which has a slightly cooler climate than central Lodi, both day and night. This gentle Mediterranean climate of warm days and coastal evening breezes is ideal for the cultivation of worldclass grapes. The mature vines are gnarled and sculpted by time, yielding small amounts of intensely flavoured fruit to create wines that are the ultimate expression of their terroir.
Red WineThis traditional Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel is deep and rich, showing ripe black fruit flavours with subtle jam and chocolate overtones, typical of these family grown vineyards. Gentle on the palate with a subtle, smoky finish.

Red WineThis richly coloured wine offers opulent notes of dark berried fruit and blueberry, with nuances of black pepper, fine cocoa and vanilla. Showing lovely balance, the ripe fruit is enveloped in elegant tannins through to a lingering finish.
The winemaking philosophy at Oak Ridge honours the importance of finding balance between the land and the makers, beginning first with growing quality grapes. Maggio has become part of the Lodi Rules initiative, which guides sustainable farming practices. Created by farmers it was initially launched as a grassroots educational integrated pest management programme in 1992. Recognising the importance of the ecosystem and biodiversity in the vineyard, it includes pest management initiatives, such as introducing natural predators, which minimises the risks to birds, bees, water and people. Water is carefully managed to ensure efficiency and waste is limited. The soils are treated with organic matter and are cultivated to maximise water penetration to sustain the vine’s roots. As a result the grapes are concentrated with flavour, which translates into fruit-forward, expressive wines.
White WineThis Chardonnay shows delightful aromas of delicate white flowers, fresh green apple and notes of caramel. Clean flavours of apricot and pear are balanced by hint of key lime and lively mineral notes, with a creamy texture and supple mouthfeel, the crisp acidity leads to a long finish.
The grapes are cultivated across the Central Coast, one of the most diverse and climatically cool grape growing regions in California. The soils are made up of crushed fossilised seashells similar to chalk and limestone, which produces elegantly styled wines.
Red WineA balanced and graceful Pinot Noir with aromas of strawberry, raspberry and rhubarb and a touch of sage. Beautifully integrated oak supports the pure fruit through to a silky finish.
The fruit comes from two distinct Pinot Noir vineyards: Danny’s Vineyard and Grava, two of the most northerly plantings in Monterey County. The vineyards nestle up to the Gabilan Mountain Range on the eastern side of the Salinas Valley; approximately 10 miles directly across from the Santa Lucia Highlands. The marine influence of the nearby Monterey Bay and the morning fog which clears for the afternoon sun, results in a cool mesoclimate and a long hang-time for the fruit. The grapes reflect the cool climate character, with complex aromatics and flavours and natural balancing acidity.
