Description
Bishop’s Leap has been a firm favourite for our customers for many years. Made by Megan Simmons, this classic New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc punches above its weight in both style and price.
A full and crisp wine with intense aromas and flavours of passion fruit, underlying gooseberry and herbal tones. Mouth-watering acidity is balanced by a full-flavoured palate that leads to a long lingering finish.
The grapes are carefully selected from several vineyards in Marlborough. Marlborough is a dry, sunny viticultural region, situated at the northeastern tip of the South Island, New Zealand. Consisting of two parallel valleys, the Wairau and the Awatere, it stretches along the Pacific Coast. The vines grow in mixed alluvial soils, which are geologically young and have been distributed along the valley’s floors by the Wairau and Awatere rivers.

The grapes were pressed with minimal skin contact, to maintain the pure fruit flavours. The must was then cool fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel to retain its freshness and zesty character.
