    The vineyard sits on the undulating land over the white calcareous soils. These famous chalky soils are finely structured and more porous than other soil types, with the looser structure enabling the absorption of minerals by the vine.     This delicious sweet style champagne has light aromas of meringue and praline that are swirled in delicate notes of violet and stewed fruits, through to a beautifully balanced palate with sustained freshness and fine, sweet flavours. Notes of candied citrus and candied strawberry are complemented by a warm touch of white pepper in this light Champagne which develops on the palate over time.

    An assemblage of over 100 Crus, this cuvée reveals a broad array of aromas reflecting the diverse terroirs of the Champagne region. The composition is completed with 35% reserve wines in order to preserve the Collet style year after year. The blend comprises 50% Pinot Meunier from the villages of the Marne Valley and the Ardre Valley, which brings tonicity, richness and tension to the wine. The Crus of the Aisne make a tender and round wine and punctuate the assemblage with exotic fruit notes. 30% Chardonnay from the Sézannais region adds enjoyment and harmony and the Crus of southern Epernay contribute tonic citrus notes. 20% Pinot Noir from the Côte des Bar contributes structure and tension.

This cuvée reached full maturity after a minimum of three years of bottle ageing in the historic, limestone cellars in Ay, which are centuries old.

    This is an exceptional blend of seven Grands Crus and 13 Premiers Crus. The Chardonnay, predominantly from the commune of Vertus, contributes freshness and citrus notes. The Premier Cru of Villers-Marmery contributes to the mineral dimension of the limestone terroir along with smoky touches. The Pinot Noir imparts a richness and power thanks to historic Crus such as Ay, Hautvillers and Avenay Val d’Or blended with Crus from Rilly la Montagne. The Pinot Meunier from Villedommange completes the blend imparting a roundness and suppleness.

    A swirl of very fine bubbles is reflected in a creamy style of Champagne with developed biscuity notes from extended ageing on the lees and a lovely long and savoury finish. This wine is full of charm.

    This cuvée was bottle aged for a minimum of four years in the historic limestone cellars which are centuries old.

    The grapes for this cuvée come from 20 Crus from the Grand and Premier Crus sites of the Champagne region. The Chardonnay comes predominantly from the Premier Cru of Vertus and contributes freshness and lemony notes, while the mineral dimension and flinty aromas, come from the Cru of Villers Marmery, which has a limestone soil. The Grands Crus and Premiers Crus villages of Chouilly, Avize, Oger and Vaudemange, complete the blend with strength and complexity. The Pinot Noir comes from the Grands Cru and Premiers Cru villages of Ay, Hautvillers, Avenay Val d’Or and Louvois; it produces light, tender and fruity wines, while the Pinot Meunier imparts a roundness and suppleness. A unique blend of terroirs, producing a unique Rosé Champagne.

    One of our favourite Champagnes here at Wine Republic, it is the perfect champagne in that you can drink it for breakfast, lunch and dinner!  It’s a rich style of champagne with a fair amount of sweetness (dosage of 20g/l )  In the glass, it is a pale yellow colour with shimmering highlights. The bubbles form a delicate necklace of fine mousse. The nose is subtle and fresh, suggestive of the delightful aromas of white blossom and ripe fruit, with overtones of yellow peaches and dried apricots. The first impression on the palate is soft and mellow and remains very fresh. It is dominated by flavours reminiscent of raisins and fruit in syrup. The aftertaste is long and soft with a subtle sweetness. All in all, it is rounded, rich and well balanced.

    An assemblage of six Chardonnay parcels from the best Premiers and Grands Crus of the Champagne region.  The three pillars of this Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru come from the three famous Grands Crus of Champagne – Avize, Oger and Chouilly. Avize is a rich Cru which brings power; Oger offers tenderness and Chouilly imparts elegance and finesse to the blend. These limestone soil Crus naturally present iodised notes and citrus aromas. The assemblage is balanced by blending Chardonnay from Villers-Marmery, a very mineral Cru with smoky notes making the wine round and light, while fruit from the Crus of Vaudemange and Trépail complete the assemblage.

    Vivacious, with a light texture this 1er Cru delivers citrus notes of Sicilian lemon and lime, with hints of lemon tart on puff pastry. Nuances of white pepper, liquorice and smoke add to the kaleidoscope of flavours. This is fresh, taut, complex and full of finesse with a beautifully long finish.

    The Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru was aged for a minimum of five years in Collet’s centuries-old limestone cellars.

    A bouquet of lemon, quince and brioche is accompanied by scents of linden, acacia and fresh verbena and underpinned by mineral notes. After aeration, aromas of limestone, liquorice, blackcurrant and pomelo are revealed. Clean and fresh, opening with the zingy acidity of lemon and grapefruit through to a mineral, clean and saline mid-palate. The freshness, typical of 2008, and subtle sea-spray notes create a tasty finish.

    A balanced blend of 10 Premier and Grand Cru villages were selected during the 2008 harvest. 50% Pinot Noir gives wine its structure, thanks to Mailly-Champagne, Ambonnay, Louvois or Chigny-les-Roses Crus. 40% Chardonnay from iconic villages as Vertus and Avize, brings richness, softness and elegance. The Villers-Marmery Premier Cru completes the blend and adds a mineral dimension along with a touch of smoke. 10% Meunier rounds off the blend with richness and smoothness.

The palate begins with a silky-smooth sensation, developing into ripe fleshy apricot, melon and enticing plum pastry notes and delicate spice. There is a perfect balance of freshness and generosity.

    Charles Heidsieck has built exceptional relationships with the best growers across Champagne. Precise selection of grapes takes place from 60 specific sites. Vineyards which are integral to producing grapes that sustain the house style are Oger for Chardonnay for its texture, floral notes and ageing ability, Ambonnay for Pinot Noir for its power, vinosity and fruit, and Verneuil for Pinot Meunier for its acidity, body and aromatics.

    Thi is Taittingers very first “Champagne de Domaine”, Les Folies de la Marquetterie is a blend of Chardonnays (45%) and Pinot Noirs (55%), made exclusively from grapes grown at the Folies vineyard that overlooks Château de la Marquetterie, the birthplace of the Taittinger family champagne. 

    The body is deep yellow in colour with golden highlights. The bubbles are fine and delicate. The intense, highly fruity bouquet leads onto peach and apricot jam aromas with subtle hints of toasted brioche and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is full-bodied, smooth and fruity with dominant peach flavours. The distinctive and expressive finish delivers lightly woody notes. Les Folies de la Marquetterie is full-flavoured and harmonious champagne distinguished by its immense richness and complexity.

    This prestigious new cuvée from the Maison is assembled only from Premier and Grand Cru grapes.    In the glass, the champagne reveals aromas of white flowers, hawthorn, honeysuckle and lemon tree, the palate opens to notes of almond, toast, a touch of sandalwood and some notes of red fruits. This champagne is distinguished by its light yellow colour with shiny silvery highlights, its persistent and very creamy foam and its very fine bubbles. This Premier Cru is presented in the Prestige bottle developed in 2006 by the House for its high-end wines with its fine neck limiting gas exchange and its warm brown colour preserving wine against the light.
