  • 2016 Pinot Blanc, TrimbachWhite Wine

    2016 Pinot Blanc, Trimbach

    £1995

The Trimbach’s have a purist vision. For three centuries and across 13 generations, the family has produced wines that are structured, long-lived, fruity, elegant and balanced: the celebrated Trimbach style. The family personally looks after each operation, from planting to harvests and from vinification to bottling.  The wines are released after two years of cellar ageing, when they have the perfect balance of fruit and acidity.

Pale yellow with green reflections and rich concentrated aromas of white flower and apricot notes. Smooth, medium bodied with good fruit acidity. Pairs well with light meals such as salads, chicken, roast pork and seafood.

Cremant D’Alsace ‘Cuvee Julien’ Brut, Dopff Au Moulin

    £2200

Dry and elegant Crémant, showing hints of quince and white flowers, fine bubbles with good length and weight.

Made from 50% Auxerrois, which is a sibling grape variety of Chardonnay, mainly grown in Alsace. It is an earlier ripener, added to the blend for its low acidity and body. The grapes are mainly sourced from vineyards in the Colmar area.

  • 2014 Pinot Noir Reserve, TrimbachRed Wine

    2014 Pinot Noir Reserve, Trimbach

    £2450

The wine is soft and gentle on the palate with juicy strawberry and cherry flavours. Round and sumptuous already, more intensity and complexity could in theory develop with bottle age, but almost certainly will not since it’s so irresistibly delicious now. Medium-bodied, with perfect, soft tannin. A classic expression of Alsace Pinot Noir – traditionally served chilled.

  • 2018 Gewurztraminer, Trimbach Wine Republic Heros White Wine

    2018 Gewurztraminer, Trimbach

    £2500

Finely balanced and very aromatic with notes of lychee, rose and ginger. This is dry and with classic restraint, while at the same time expressing beautifully the variety’s exotic and spicy character. Has the intense aromatics to go brilliantly with Asian food but also extremely good with powerful cheeses. The Alsatians drink it with their brine-washed Munster, but it is equally at home with rich blue cheeses from Stilton to Roquefort.

  • 2015 Pinot Noir Réserve Cuvée 7, TrimbachRed Wine

2015 Pinot Noir Réserve Cuvée 7, Trimbach

    £2750

The “Réserve” “Cuve 7″ Pinot Noir owes its name to the number of the tank in which it was first produced. It comes from the best vines, notably from the Rotenberg vineyard in Ribeauvillé and is only produced in the very best years. More complete and structured, this exceptional Pinot-Noir is expressed through fabulous aromas of red fruits, redcurrants and blackberries.

  • 2008 Pinot Gris Vendange Tardive, Trimbach Wine Republic Heros Dessert Wine, Port & Dessert Wine, White Wine

2008 Pinot Gris Vendange Tardive, Trimbach

    £4500

This wine is made from botrytised noble Pinot Gris, hand-selected and from the best vineyards. and is only made in only exceptional years.

We love this tasting note from Robert Parker: ‘A remarkable nose – vegetarians beware! – suggests smoked pork, sauteed veal sweetbreads, and truffle-studded foie gras, and the palate is just as sinfully rich as the nose implies, encompassing as well a honeyed intensity of quince and Mirabelle preserves; white Burgundy-like toasted brioche; and hints of brown spices. This is a meal unto itself, and for all of its amplitude reveals a sense of buoyancy.’

  • 1990 Pinot Gris Vendange Tardive, TrimbachDessert Wine, Port & Dessert Wine, White Wine

1990 Pinot Gris Vendange Tardive, Trimbach

    £9900

This wine is a real treat – one of Trimbach’s finest – 30 years old!  It is made from botrytised (noble rot) Pinot Gris grapes that are hand-selected from the best vineyards. It is made in only exceptional years and has natural residual sugar (over 30g) which harmonises perfectly with natural acidity.

In the glass, this wine exhibits aromas of dried apricot, burnt caramel and honey with banana and a touch of smoke. Beautiful subdued sweetness with underlying acidity. Very intense and concentrated in the mouth. The palate includes orange peel with waves and waves of intense, tautly precise flavour framed by good acidity. Very impressive finesse and length.
