    Château Maris Le Zulu is an organic red wine made from a selection of Grenache and Syrah grapes and without added sulphites.   The grape combination creates a full-bodied, yet soft and seductive, red wine.  Lively, fruity, a little salty and juicy, this wine has taken the best of the south of France, rich fruitiness combined with the taste and balanced acidity provided by the terroir.

    The name “Rose de Nymphe Émue” refers to a variety of pink rose that was brought to France at the end of the 17th century, from Crimea.

    It’s considered a summer rosé par excellence to share with friends. Its roundness and hint of acidity make it perfect to accompany a picnic, salads, barbecue. The serving temperature is recommended to be 10-12°C.

    In the glass, It has a pale salmon pink colour, the nose has strawberry bob-bons, dusted with icing sugar, and a pert feeling of freshness. In the mouth, it’s rounded with creamy fruits, and a hint of sweetness.   The acidity is good, giving this balance and meaning the finish is dry and citrus fresh.

It was bottled rapidly in the year of harvest with no added sulfites and no oak ageing.    What strikes you about this wine is its purity, silky mouthfeel and its intense long finish.   The flavours and aromas are all classic Syrah – plums, black fruit, leather.

    An elegant Viognier with hints of nectarine, ginger and honeysuckle. Precise, crisp and balanced on the palate, with a roundness of generously structured fruit and a long, elegant finish.

    The vineyard that this Viognier comes from is situated 15 kilometres south of Nîmes, near the village of Manduel, in the heart of the ‘Appellation d’Origine Protégée’ of the Costières de Nîmes. The average age of the vines is about 25 years. The main characteristic of the vineyard is the soil, which is formed of ‘gress’, an accumulation of rounded pebbles that have been deposited by the overflowing Rhône River thousands of years ago. These pebbles allow the vines to grow in the best possible conditions and due to this natural soil filter; the vine’s roots can easily draw the necessary water for their growth. The vines also benefit from the Mediterranean sunshine, which brings the grapes to perfect maturity and allows them to be picked at maximum phenolic maturity which assured elegance in the resulting wine.

    The sustainably cultivated grapes come from the Château’s vineyard, situated 15 kilometres south of Nîmes, near the village of Manduel in the heart of the AOP of the Costières de Nîmes. However, winemaker Frank-Lin Dalle has chosen to designate this wine as Vin de France to distinguish the distinctive style of this wine, which has been made without sulphites.     A floral and aromatic Chardonnay with white peach flavours complemented by nutty, toasty tones and a lovely creamy texture. Fresh and light with mineral overtones through to an elegant finish.

    The Chardonnay vines thrive in climatic conditions similar to those of Burgundy; the vineyard experiences an oceanic climate with continental influences, frequent rain fall and wide temperature ranges. The vines are planted at a density of between 5,000 to 6,000 vines per hectare, which produce concentrated wines. The vines are trellised using espaliers to ensure optimal sunlight exposure, allowing the grapes to ripen evenly. Pruning, de-budding and thinning out of the leaves are all conducted manually and to environmentally-friendly specifications. The grapes are harvested by hand and are transported to the cellar in special bins to preserve the quality of the fruit. The vines are grown in compliance with the rules of sustainable agriculture set by Terra Vitis.
