Description
Domaine Jérôme Chézeaux is a highly respected, family-owned estate based in Prémeaux-Prissey, just south of Nuits-Saint-Georges in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits. The domaine was originally established in the 1970s by Bernard Chézeaux and has been under the direction of his son, Jérôme Chézeaux, since 1993. Today, Jérôme carries on the family’s legacy with a strong commitment to crafting terroir-driven, classically styled Pinot Noir.
Covering approximately 12 hectares, the domaine’s vineyards span some of the most prestigious appellations in the Côte d’Or, including holdings in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Vougeot, and Corton. Notably, Chézeaux also produces wines from several Premier Crus and Grand Crus, such as Clos de Vougeot, Corton-Tiards, and Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots, offering remarkable quality and value in Burgundy’s most sought-after terroirs.
In both the vineyard and the cellar, the philosophy is one of minimal intervention and respect for nature. Jérôme practices lutte raisonnée (a sustainable approach to viticulture), limits yields, and relies on traditional winemaking methods, fermenting with indigenous yeasts, using a modest amount of new oak, and avoiding excessive extraction. The result is a portfolio of wines that are elegant, expressive, and true to their origin, balancing finesse with structure and purity with complexity.
Domaine Jérôme Chézeaux has become a quiet favorite among Burgundy insiders and collectors—delivering wines of consistency, authenticity, and understated excellence.
