  In the glass this classic Bordeaux blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon exhibits a vibrant bouquet of passionfruit and fresh lime characters, with and hints of dried herbs and floral notes in the background. Medium-bodied, the zesty palate offers freshly squeezed citrus flavours combined with tropical fruits and a touch of spice. An easy-drinking ‘Classic’ Margaret River wine style with wonderful purity – crunchy, fruit-driven, lip-smacking dry with crisp acidity and a clean refreshing finish.

  2014 Coralinga Sauvignon Blanc, Henschke

  This Sauvignon Blanc is a tribute to the historic Coralinga homestead and apple orchard that was destroyed by bushfires in the early 1900s. The homestead was situated close by Henschke’s Lenswood property in the heart of the South Mount Lofty Ranges. 2014 was an exceptional vintage with the wine displaying a fragrant and lifted bouquet of citrus blossom, citrus fruits, gooseberry and tropical fruits with notes of anise, white pepper and fresh tarragon.  The fresh and vibrant palate shows concentrated citrus and stone-fruit flavours, with pure acidity and balance for a crisp, fine and long finish.

  Henschke recommend cellaring this for 5 years plus – so it is at its peak now!

  The 2017 Petaluma White Label Sauvignon Blanc displays fresh tropical fruits and exotic herbaceous characters with crunchy lime and lemon blossom. Hints of passionfruit combine with mown grass that lead onto stone fruit on the palate. Crisp clean acid lingers with citrus persistence, signalling a concentrated full-flavoured Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc.

  2017 Sauvignon Blanc, Larry Cherubino

  Without doubt Australias best Sauvignon Blanc and a rival to any from the New World.  It represents the top 1% of the Sauvignon grapes across Cherubinos vineyards – hand made and made to stand out from the crowd.

  A striking bouquet of nettle, minerals, blackcurrant and an oak-infused spiciness. Made in a traditional Bordeaux style, the wine was fermented in new French oak, adding layers of complexity and flavour. A long fine line of acidity provides great length and finish.

  So good it was included in Matthew Jukes 100 Best Australian Wines 2018
