Domaine Jean Chauvenet is a respected family-run estate located in the heart of Nuits-Saint-Georges, with a long-standing reputation for crafting traditional, terroir-expressive Pinot Noir. Since the 1990s, winemaker Christophe Drag, son-in-law of Jean Chauvenet, has brought a steady hand and a quiet evolution to the domaine, focusing on precise vineyard work, sustainable viticulture, and minimal intervention in the cellar. The estate farms around 9 hectares, including prime holdings in several Premier Cru sites, all vinified to showcase the unique personality of each parcel.
The 2016 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru ‘Les Bousselots’ comes from a north-facing Premier Cru vineyard near the border with Vosne-Romanée, where clay-limestone soils and excellent drainage produce wines with both power and finesse.
