The Yealands Seaview Vineyard in the Awatere Valley is one of New Zealand’s most coastal vineyards. Breath-taking vistas of rolling hills and wild coastline define the Yealands wines. The strong offshore winds encourage the grapes to grow small with thickened skins and wonderfully concentrated characteristics.
The L5 Block is situated in a very exposed area right on the coastline of the Seaview Vineyard. It is the coolest, most extreme site on the vineyard and the subsequent wine reflects this terroir – mineral, salty, crushed oyster shell and wet stone are just a few of the flavours that characterise this unique wine. Serve chilled with seafood or chicken dishes.
