Red WineThis is a classically made Rioja that is a smooth and rounded traditional Rioja blend of red berried fruits and beautifully integrated oaky notes of subtle spice and vanilla.
The fruit for Hugonell Crianza comes from vineyards in Rioja Alavesa, Rioja Alta and a little from Rioja Oriental. The average age of the vines is approximately 15 years and the soil patterns in the vineyards are a combination of the well-known limestone-clay-alluvial mixture, which is found in most of Central Rioja.
Red WineThis wine is not always what people expect from Rioja. It has deep colour, pure fruit flavours and dark mouth-coating tannins but no aggressive oak. It’s a great wine by the glass and behaves like something grander, always benefitting from decanting. This is the perfect wine for a grilled steak. You will find aromas of red fruits accompanied with notes of blueberries and blackberries. This wine is bursting with red cherry and vanilla flavours on the palate, made from unoaked Tempranillo, it delivers a smooth and lengthy finish.
