Champagne Gosset2008 Celebris Rosé, Champagne Gosset
Champagne, FranceVintage: 2008
“The Jewel in Pink”
Brilliant salmon-pink with copper highlights, this vintage rosé enchants with aromas of wild strawberry, blood orange, and pomegranate, touched by spice and pastry. On the palate, it is intense and layered – ripe red berries, citrus zest, and savoury notes unfolding over a taut mineral backbone. The mousse is fine, the balance poised, the finish crystalline.
For when: you want a wine that speaks in whispers yet leaves you awestruck.
Pairs with: caviar, foie gras, or delicate game dishes.
If this wine were jewellery, it’d be a diamond set in rose gold.
Celebris is Gosset’s pinnacle expression, made only in the best vintages. The 2008 Rosé is a masterpiece of structure and grace, crafted for collectors and connoisseurs seeking the very finest.

Description
Maison Gosset, the oldest Wine House in Champagne, boasts a rich history dating back to 1584. The Gosset family’s involvement in viticulture, however, began even earlier in the 15th century, with Jean Gosset cultivating vineyards in Aÿ. By 1584, Pierre Gosset established a still wine trading house, predating sparkling Champagne production by over a century. Over the years, Gosset wines graced royal tables, even appearing at the coronation of Charles X in 1825. For 16 generations, the family has upheld their winemaking traditions. Today, Gosset represents seven centuries of Champagne expertise, embodying heritage through its prestigious status and unique accolades. Gosset’s commitment to heritage extends beyond its own legacy; the annual Trophée Gosset recognises individuals and institutions dedicated to preserving heritage, from culinary arts to broader cultural contributions, while ‘Gosset Matchmakers’ is a food and wine pairing competition for rising chefs and sommeliers in the UK. Sourcing primarily from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, Head Winemaker Odilon de Varine crafts Champagnes with remarkable depth, elegance, freshness and longevity that define its signature style.
This exceptional cuvée is distinguished by its rarity and this vintage is only the fourth edition of Gosset Celebris Rosé in the past 25 years. It is a limited edition of 15,000 bottles. Time is part of the essence and personality of Celebris. Vinification took place in stainless steel vats with traditional ageing. 8% was vinified as a red wine. Malolactic conversion was carefully avoided to showcase the House’s fresh signature style and retain the naturally fruity aromas. The wine was cellared in June 2009. Dosage was precisely adjusted to balance freshness and vinosity without compromising character and purity. The wine was disgorged in April 2021 and post-disgorgement, it was returned to the cellars to allow the smooth integration of the 6.5g/l dosage.
