The nose of this 2013 Hermitage Rouge by Domaine des Martinelles is red plum, spice bramble and violets. With 11 years of age it has acquired a delightful finesse, roundness and great length.

This cuvée results from the assembly of two plots located on the hillside of the Hermitage, La Beaume and Pierrelle, both facing south. These forty-year-old syrah vines are planted on a brown sand terroir with pebbles and a clay-limestone terroir with large pebbles.

The origin of the name “Domaine des Martinelles” comes from a farm of the property called “les Martinelles”. It is also the name of one of their largest vines in Crozes-Hermitage.
