Burgundy, FranceVintage: 2018
Domaine Jean-Luc & Éric Burguet is a distinguished family-run estate located in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy. Founded in the 1970s by Alain Burguet, the domaine has been a pioneer in organic viticulture since its inception. Today, Alain’s sons, Jean-Luc and Éric, continue this legacy, managing approximately 9 hectares of predominantly Pinot Noir vineyards, including old-vine parcels up to 90 years old across village, Premier Cru, and Grand Cru sites on the limestone and clay soils of the Côte de Nuits.
In the glass, the 2018 “Les Pince Vin” offers an inviting bouquet of ripe red and black berries, complemented by subtle earthy undertones. The palate is marked by a harmonious balance of bright acidity and supple tannins, delivering flavours of plum, strawberry, and a hint of spice. The wine’s elegant structure and medium body culminate in a smooth, lingering finish, reflecting both the varietal character and the meticulous care taken in its production.

Description
The Burguet brothers employ meticulous winemaking practices to ensure the purity and expression of their wines. Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo triple sorting to select only the finest fruit. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, with gentle punch-downs and pump-overs tailored to each vintage’s character. The wine is then aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, with a restrained use of new oak to preserve the wine’s integrity. Notably, the wines are bottled without fining or filtration, maintaining their natural structure and complexity.
