“The Quiet Genius”
Fresh, textural, and layered with subtle complexity, this white Rioja captures the purity of high-altitude Viura. Pale straw with green reflections, it opens with aromas of pear, white peach, and citrus zest, woven with delicate floral notes and a whisper of fennel. The palate is crisp yet rounded, with orchard fruit, lemon peel, and hints of almond that glide across a mineral backbone, finishing long, precise, and quietly assured.
For when: you want a wine that speaks softly but leaves an impression.
Pairs with: roast chicken, grilled hake, or a good conversation that stretches into the night.
If this wine were a character, it’d be the one who listens more than they talk and always says something brilliant when they do.
Bideona is a new voice in Rioja Alavesa with an old soul, founded on a vision to showcase the region’s extraordinary old-vine vineyards. The winery works with more than 300 small parcels, many planted between 1920 and 1979 on limestone-rich soils at high elevations. Their philosophy is simple but profound: craft wines that transmit the character of place with clarity, precision, and respect for heritage. Las Parcelas is the purest expression of this approach, a wine that honours both vineyard and grower.

Description
Las Parcelas Blanco comes from high quality, low-yielding grapes from small, old hilltop vineyard parcels (Parcelas) on limestone soils which produce wines of notable complexity and length due to the old vines. These carefully selected parcels are located on the slopes of the Sierra Cantabria, at elevations of 420 to 600 metres. The average plot size is just 0.3 hectares, and the average age of the vineyard is approximately 50 years, but some of the vines are significantly older, producing low yields of concentrated juice. The bush vines are planted in limestone, calcareous clay soils, resulting in elegant wines that are fresh, precise and age worthy due to the balancing acidity. The vines are cultivated with respect for the environment, using minimal sprays of copper and sulphur when required. This Viura field blend is hand harvested in 15-kilogram boxes to preserve the quality, which shines through, displaying the typical character of cooler climate Rioja Alavesa.
Using classical vinification techniques, the grapes were fermented with selected yeasts and then aged in a combination of vessels, – the combination of type and length of ageing were determined by the characteristics of the vintage. This vintage was aged in stainless steel and concrete tanks; along with large and smaller oak vessels, of new and seasoned oak.
