2024 Malbec, Luigi Bosca

Mendoza, ArgentinaVintage: 2024

Or as we call it – “The Big Heart”

Deep, generous, and layered with Mendoza generosity, this Malbec opens with sweet aromas of red plums and dark berries, wrapped in gentle spice and herbal hints. The palate is expressive and well-structured, rich black fruit is balanced by fine, sweet tannins and bright acidity, delivering a smooth, lingering finish. It’s bold but polished, carrying a warmth that invites another glass.

For when: the grill’s fired up or you need a wine that tells a story.
Pairs with: steak, empanadas, or an evening full of warmth and laughter.
If this wine were a friend, it’d be the one who always brings the stories and the hugs.

Luigi Bosca is one of Argentina’s most revered family-run wineries, founded in 1901. With vineyards at altitude in Mendoza and an unwavering focus on purity, finesse, and balance, they’ve become a benchmark name for Malbec across the globe.

Description

Luigi Bosca is a renowned wine producer with over 120 years of history in Mendoza. The winery is a family-owned business, founded for the Arizu family in 1901 that has been producing high-quality wines for generations.

The winery`s commitment to quality and sustainability is evident in its vineyards, which are located in some of the most privileged areas of Mendoza. Luigi Bosca`s wines are crafted using traditional techniques and the latest technology to produce exceptional wines that are highly sought after by wine enthusiasts and collectors alike.

The family has 1500 acres in the best valleys at the foothills of the Andes mountains in Mendoza, where they feature their collection of wines that have been awarded worldwide, setting the standards for a new era of global wine production.

Luigi Bosca`s vision is to continue their legacy of making handcrafted wines in balance with their environment. The consistent transfer of expert knowledge through generations and their commitment to excellence and sustainability have become the family hallmark.

The grapes are manually harvested in 18 to 20-kilogram boxes, followed by the bunch selection and stalking processes, and, subsequently, berry selection. The grape juice is cold macerated at a temperature ranging between 8 and 10 °C for five to seven days. After that, it is fermented in small stainless steel tanks, undergoing various extractions, such as plunging and rack and return (délestage). Once maceration is completed, wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, where it goes through malolactic fermentation. The wine is then filtered and bottled, and then stowed in the wine cellar for at least six months before it enters the market.
