  Wonderful aromatic complexity is highlighted by fresh fruit notes of peach and lime with a delicate honeysuckle character. The light, lemony palate has distinctive minerality and a lovely refreshing finish. Drink now to 2023.

  The Domaine de Vendange estate extends over 10 hectares, planted on south-facing slopes where the local Savoie grape varieties fully express their typicity. The 25- year old Jacquère vines yield 65 hectolitres per hectare. The soils are formed of glacial moraine; they are very young limestone soils made up of limestone scree, with layers of silty clay, which produce elegant, fresh wines. The vines are planted at 400 metres’ elevation, yet despite the altitude and mountainous location, the summers are surprisingly hot. This distinctive microclimate encourages the grapes to reach optimum maturity with concentrated juice, balanced by mountain-cool freshness. The vines are cultivated using integrated agriculture practices, maintaining the greatest respect for terroir and tradition. The focus is on green harvesting with pruning, debudding, trellising and leaf stripping. All grapes are hand-harvested. In 2021, the domain moved into conversion to organic status.

  Textured with spicy notes of fennel and toasty oak, through to a lovely, long and sustained finish

  The vineyard is situated in the heart of the AOC Bouzeron in the Côte Chalonnaise. The east-facing plot is planted with an Aligoté strain called ‘Golden’, the vines are low yielding and produce exceptionally aromatic grapes. The climate is continental, with warm summers and cold winters and excellent diurnal temperature differences. The vineyard is cultivated using organic preparations and the use of chemical herbicides is strictly prohibited. The double Guyot trained vines are carefully managed between the spring and summer months to ensure optimal conditions for healthy, mature grapes at harvest time; with strict de-budding, leaf thinning and ploughing of the soil. The vines are grown in marly-chalk soils from the Jurassic period.

  Saint Véran is an appellation for dry white wines made from Chardonnay, which is situated in the southern half of the Mâconnais subregion of Burgundy. The Domaine Ferrand vineyard is situated in the village of Solutré Pouilly, on eastern and southeastern facing sunny slopes at an altitude of 250 to 300 metres above sea level. The vines have an average age of 50 years, with deep root systems penetrating the layers of soil, imparting complexity to the resulting wine.

  Domaine des Deux Roches translates as ‘Estate of the Two Rocks’, a reference to the position of this wine estate between the two distinctive, rocky escarpments of Solutre and Vergisson, in the Maconnais area of southern Burgundy. Owners of the Domaine, Jean-Luc Terrier and Christian Collovray make this great Saint-Veran, a white that beats many Burgundies for sheer deliciousness.

  Terres Noires is a single vineyard on the south side of the landmark rock of Solutré, where limestone soils mix with black decomposed rock. One-third of this Chardonnay is matured in oak barrels for four months and it is this careful use of oak that is key to the style. It has a lovely forward and expressive peachy fruit style. A medium oaked chardonnay with lemon and butter and a touch of honeysuckle on the nose. Soft and creamy with plenty of body and texture.

  Serge Laloue has always been one of our favourite winemakers in the Loire, making incredible Sancerre. This we think is their finest Cuvee, crafted by Franck Laloue the Sancerre Silex has intense aromas of smoky graphite with mineral notes of oyster shell that are complemented by zesty orange peel and Mirabelle plum. This fresh, supple cuvée delivers concentrated citrus flavours through to a bright and uplifting mineral finish.

  The grapes come from a three-hectare estate vineyard, where the vines have an average age of 40 years, producing low yields of concentrated fruit. The vines face a south-easterly orientation, maximising exposure to the sun to assist ripening of the berries. The soils are ‘silex’, a flinty clay that produces elegant wines with distinctive graphite and mineral characters. The vineyard is currently in conversion to organic status, a natural progression for the Laloue family as the farming methods used over many years have followed these principles. Vineyard management techniques include ploughing the soil instead of using herbicides, growing cover crops between the rows of vines and sexual confusion of predators, to maintain the health of the vines and the biodiversity of the environment.

  Serge Laloue has always been one of our favourite winemakers in the Loire, making incredible Sancerre.  His ‘Les Poitevinnes’ Cuvee is an elegant and complex expression of Sancerre, with concentrated Mirabelle plum and peach underpinned by delicate hints of liquorice, anise and mineral notes. The lovely rounded texture on the palate is beautifully framed by mineral freshness.

  The grapes are grown in 0.55 hectares of vineyard within the estate, from vines with an average age of 30 to 35 years. The vines face a south-easterly orientation, maximising exposure to the sun to assist the ripening of the berries. The soils are predominantly calcareous clay, which typically has a high limestone content, producing elegant and textured wines with distinctive minerality. The vineyard is currently in conversion to organic status, a natural progression for the Laloue family as the farming methods used over many years have followed these principles. Vineyard management techniques include ploughing the soil instead of using herbicides, growing cover crops between the rows of vines and sexual confusion of predators, to maintain the health of the vines and the biodiversity of the environment.

This cuvée reached full maturity after a minimum of three years of bottle ageing in the historic, limestone cellars in Ay, which are centuries old.

The blend comprises 50% Pinot Meunier from the villages of the Marne Valley and the Ardre Valley, which brings tonicity, richness and tension to the wine. The Crus of the Aisne make a tender and round wine and punctuate the assemblage with exotic fruit notes. 30% Chardonnay from the Sézannais region adds enjoyment and harmony and the Crus of southern Epernay contribute tonic citrus notes. 20% Pinot Noir from the Côte des Bar contributes structure and tension.

  The grapes for this cuvée come from 20 Crus from the Grand and Premier Crus sites of the Champagne region. The Chardonnay comes predominantly from the Premier Cru of Vertus and contributes freshness and lemony notes, while the mineral dimension and flinty aromas, come from the Cru of Villers Marmery, which has a limestone soil. The Grands Crus and Premiers Crus villages of Chouilly, Avize, Oger and Vaudemange, complete the blend with strength and complexity.   This is an exceptional blend of seven Grands Crus and 13 Premiers Crus. The Chardonnay, predominantly from the commune of Vertus, contributes freshness and citrus notes. The Premier Cru of Villers-Marmery contributes to the mineral dimension of the limestone terroir along with smoky touches. The Pinot Noir imparts a richness and power thanks to historic Crus such as Ay, Hautvillers and Avenay Val d’Or blended with Crus from Rilly la Montagne. The Pinot Meunier from Villedommange completes the blend imparting a roundness and suppleness.

  A swirl of very fine bubbles is reflected in a creamy style of Champagne with developed biscuity notes from extended ageing on the lees and a lovely long and savoury finish. This wine is full of charm.

  This cuvée was bottle aged for a minimum of four years in the historic limestone cellars which are centuries old.

  An assemblage of six Chardonnay parcels from the best Premiers and Grands Crus of the Champagne region.  The three pillars of this Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru come from the three famous Grands Crus of Champagne – Avize, Oger and Chouilly. Avize is a rich Cru which brings power; Oger offers tenderness and Chouilly imparts elegance and finesse to the blend. These limestone soil Crus naturally present iodised notes and citrus aromas. The assemblage is balanced by blending Chardonnay from Villers-Marmery, a very mineral Cru with smoky notes making the wine round and light, while fruit from the Crus of Vaudemange and Trépail complete the assemblage.

  Vivacious, with a light texture this 1er Cru delivers citrus notes of Sicilian lemon and lime, with hints of lemon tart on puff pastry. Nuances of white pepper, liquorice and smoke add to the kaleidoscope of flavours. This is fresh, taut, complex and full of finesse with a beautifully long finish.

  The Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru was aged for a minimum of five years in Collet’s centuries-old limestone cellars.
