  A light and refreshing white Rioja made from Viura, Verdejo & Tempranillo Blanco.  It delivers notes of exotic fruits, wildflowers and ripe pears through to a zesty finish.

  The grapes were carefully sorted upon arrival at the winery and the three varieties were fermented separately in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures of between 14 and 16°C. The wines were matured on their lees for two months, with periodic racking to add complexity. Carefully blended showcasing wonderful freshness, aromatics and pure fruit flavours.

  This vibrant and pristine Sauvignon Blanc combines grassy aromas of fresh herbs and green pepper, with citrus notes of grapefruit and lime. The palate is fresh and crisp, with lovely balance and a fruity finish.

  The vineyard for this wine’s fruit is located in Molina in the Curicó Valley at an altitude of 243 metres. It is situated on the 35th Parallel South, between the Andes Mountains and the cool Pacific Ocean. The warm dry days and cold nights encourage a long growing season. Intense sunshine is tempered by cooling sea breezes, allowing the grapes to achieve outstanding fruit aromas and exceptional colour concentration. Working with a model of micro viticulture, each plot, of no more than half a hectare, is identified according to its terroir and microclimate and planted accordingly. Grapes are subjected to specific pruning, irrigation, canopy management and harvesting, which results in grapes of optimum quality and flavour.

  Ernst Gouws, the jovial patriarch of the Gouws family and winemaker extraordinaire, firmly believes in the French philosophy that the quality of the wine is inextricably linked to the origin of the vineyards and its terroir. Grapes are therefore hand-harvested from site-specific vineyards around the town of Stellenbosch, which is world-famous for producing quality, fruit-driven wines.

  This 2020 Chenin Blanc is a fabulous everyday wine.  Whiffs of paw-paw, granadilla, yellow- and green apples, and peaches dominate the aromatic spectrum.   Leeuwenkuil is situated in the triangle between Malmesbury, Paarl and Durbanville. The Atlantic Ocean lies 20 miles to the west and this has a significant cooling and moderating effect on the Mediterranean climate. The rolling hills average around 140 metres above sea level. However, the superior influence on the wine is from the various soil formations, namely shale, schist, granite and iron stone. These ancient soils vary greatly in the percentage of clay, mineral content and organic matter. The grapes for this rosé are mostly grown in clay rich shale, resulting in a wine with substance and moderate acidity.

  This wine is a blend of two indigenous varieties: Limnio, which produces full bodied wines, with a relatively high alcohol content and a distinctive herbal character of bay leaves; and Moschomavro which produces fresh wines, with noticeable acidity, soft tannins and aromas redolent of ripe red fruit, grapes and cloves. The vineyard is located in Drama, where the microclimate has been considered the perfect spot for grape cultivation since ancient times. Situated at an altitude of 200 to 300 metres above sea level, the vines are cultivated in the traditional way and are planted in linear rows. The soil has a high clay content, which retains moisture during the warm, dry summers to nourish the vines.
