Palmer & Co2015 Grand Terroirs Champagne, Palmer & Co
Vintage: 2015
An intense, seductive and elegant vintage Champagne, with charming aromas of orange blossom layered with notes of yellow fruits, delicately spiced pineapple and tonka bean. The creamy texture is enveloped by citrus tones, nuances of brioche and dried fruits through to a deliciously long finish.
The grands terroirs of the Montagne de Reims are central to Champagne Palmer & Co’s wine philosophy, encompassing over 200 hectares across seven iconic crus, all facing north. The Grand Crus of Verzenay and Mailly are located at the heart of Pinot Noir terroir and produce wine with rich aromas of red fruits, spices, and saline undertones. The Premier Crus of Ludes, Chigny-les-Roses, and Rilly-la-Montagne add structure and freshness to both Pinot Noirs and Meuniers. This cuvée was made exclusively from Premier and Grand Cru vineyards.

Description
Founded in 1947 and historically established in Reims, Palmer & Co is rooted in the greatest terroirs of the Montagne de Reims with over 200 hectares of vineyards classified as Premier and Grand Crus. Dominated by the freshness and purity of Chardonnay, the Palmer & Co style is characterised by its precision and elegance. The significant proportion of reserve wines and the prolonged ageing give it a rare fullness and maturity. Today Palmer & Co is one of the top-quality references of Champagne, renowned for its signature style of aromatic complexity and refinement as well as its innovative approach to blending, sustainable winegrowing, and a long maturing process for both vintage and non-vintage cuvées. Champagne Palmer is certified sustainable by Haute Valeur Environmentale and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC).
This cuvée plays homage to nature and the Grands Terroirs of the Montagne de Reims area, and is the quintessence of the Champagne Palmer style, which is only produced in an exceptional vintage. The Pinot Noir and Meunier grapes were carefully handharvested, and vinification took place in the traditional method. This blend was bottleaged for six to eight years on the lees, in the 18-metre-deep chalk cellars which imbues the wine with incredible complexity. Dosage 6 – 7 g/l.
