Larry Cherubino is a truly great winemaker and one of our wine heroes here at Wine Republic. Larry and his wife Edwina started Cherubino wines in their spare bedroom in 2005 after buying a small parcel of land in the Frankland river in 2004. They released one wine! A lot has happened since. The range has grown, and along the way, critical acclaim has flowed, particularly noteworthy is being honoured as the Winery Of The Year by respected wine critics such as James Halliday and Matt Skinner. All this did not happen by chance, Larry earned his stripes, notably as head winemaker for Houghton, the iconic Margaret River winery. Larry further enhanced his experience by designing vineyards and wineries in countries such as New Zealand, USA, France, Italy, and South Africa.

Larry Cherubino wants his wines to be distinctive and to speak clearly of their variety and vineyard site. He believes in paying meticulous attention to the vineyard, canopy and water management, picking at the right time and minimal intervention in the winery.   Cherubino wines now have vineyards all over Western Australia including Margaret River, Pemberton and the Great Southern.
