2022 Vouvray Cuvée De Silex, Domaine des Aubuisières
Winemaking team Bernard Fouquet and Charles Lesaffres produce some of the finest Vouvray at Domaine des Aubuisières and this Cuvée De Silex is no exception.
Produced on the famous flinty soils of the Loire, in the glass, this wine displays a pure and linear character on the nose. The palate is dominated by minerals, with citrus and floral aromas to balance out the minerality, with some melon and crimson apple and lemon peel to compliment the minerals.

Description
The very talented winemaker Bernard Fouquet oversees Domaine des Aubuisières and is justifiably considered one of the leading lights of the Vouvray appellation. He has been joined by Charles Lesaffres who is gradually taking hold of the reins of the business.
The Domaine des Aubuisières has 33 hectares on the best terroirs of the Vouvray appellation. The vines are distributed over 2 types of soil, clay-limestone 75% (on the hillsides) and clay-silicone (on the edges of the plateau) which allows the domaine to offer all the richness, complexity and potential of Chenin Blanc, also called Pinot de Loire.
