A refined take on one of Italy’s most beloved wines, the 2023 Bardolino Classico Cuvée XV from Guerrieri Rizzardi is a vibrant and expressive red born from vineyards that overlook the stunning Lake Garda—an alpine landscape infused with Mediterranean charm, long known as the “Riviera degli Olivi.”
Crafted from a meticulous selection of the estate’s best vats, Cuvée XV is vinified with an unwavering focus on preserving fruit purity and freshness. Grapes from the surrounding Bardolino Classico vineyards reach the winery, carved into the hillside of Campazzi, within minutes of harvest. The juice is then gently gravity-fed into tanks to retain its vibrancy and aromatics.
In the glass, it displays an aromatic nose of wild berries, red currants, and subtle floral hints. The palate is light to medium-bodied, with bright acidity, soft tannins, and a silky texture. While remaining true to the easy-drinking nature of Bardolino, Cuvée XV offers more depth and concentration than is typical for the denomination, delivering complexity without excess weight.
