Guerrieri Rizzardi2023 Costeggiola Soave DOC Classico, Guerrieri Rizzardi
Veneto, ItalyVintage: 2023
From one of the world’s most celebrated white wine regions, the 2023 Costeggiola Soave Classico is a striking expression of the volcanic hillside vineyards of the Costeggiola cru. Planted on the prime slope of the main hill, this vineyard benefits from ideal sun exposure and mineral-rich, stony soils—perfect conditions for growing exceptional Garganega and Chardonnay.
Hand-harvested from mature vines at optimum ripeness, a portion of the fruit is picked slightly earlier to preserve vibrancy and freshness, balancing the natural concentration and richness of the vintage. Fermented and aged on the lees in stainless steel, without the use of oak, this wine is all about purity, texture, and terroir expression.
In the glass, Costeggiola reveals aromas of white flowers, ripe stone fruits, citrus zest, and a subtle mineral edge. The palate is textured and dry, with lively acidity, a savoury core, and a long, clean finish. Complex yet approachable, this Soave Classico is both a refined aperitif and a versatile partner at the table. A natural match for white meats like poultry or rabbit, meaty fish, goat’s milk cheese, and a wide range of antipasti.
Why we love it
Elegant, mineral-driven, and unmistakably Soave—Costeggiola is a true expression of volcanic terroir and varietal finesse.
