  In the glass, it opens with inviting aromas of red berries, floral notes, and a hints of cola and spice (a hallmark of this wine, Bernard notes).  On the palate it is elegant and expressive with flavours of ripe red fruits balanced by refreshing acidity and a silky mouthfeel.   The finish is an appetising cherry-stone minerality.   A perfect wine for grilled meats or charcuterie and cheese.

Bottled unfined and unfiltered this wine is like a marriage of the two styles; the typical floral Fleurie character but it also has the intensity normally associated with Moulin-à-Vent.
