    This is a savoury medium-bodied Adelaide Hills Shiraz. In the glass, it has a dark red-black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of liquorice and dark cherries are overlaid by some smoky cedar and dried meats with light pepper end notes. Medium-bodied flavours of dark cherries and liquorice are infused with subtle clove followed by some dried meats and spicy pepper. Fine-grained tannins with an aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, liquorice, clove infusions, dried meats and pepper.  Aged in French oak barriques and hogsheads for 17 months.

    Planted in 1920 Grant Burge’s Filsell vineyard is considered one of the best vineyards in the Barossa Valley and consistently produces fruit of great intensity and concentration. Known as Meshach’s younger brother the 2015 vintage was matured in a combination of French and American oak for 21 months.

    This 2015 vintage has an impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Intense aromas of ripe blackberries and liquorice tinged with dark chocolate drift effortlessly out of the glass followed by vanillin oak, subtle scorched earth and spice. Rich with Barossa’s trademark concentration and glowing opulence the palate is awash with dark and black fruit flavours. Ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice saturate the mouth underscored by subtlety toasted vanillin oak, traces of dark chocolate and spice. Silky smooth, perfectly integrated tannins have a solid underlying structure. Excellent intensity with a long ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark plum, subtle dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spice aftertaste. Drink now to 2030.

    This 2015 Frankland River Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes sourced from his Pedestal vineyard in Western Australia’s Wilyabrup region. Inky black, the wine has strong classic bay leaf and earthy cabernet tones. Very focused, mouth filling with very fine tannins. Oak is supporting the intense fruit. Medium bodied, destined for a long life. Drinking Window 2022 – 2040

    A breath-taking Pinot Noir with extraordinary texture, elegance and poise. Classic aromas of red and dark cherries mingle with hints of spice. The palate is structured yet elegant with excellent fruit weight and firm tannins. The long, complex, savoury finish is characteristic of this excellent 2015 vintage.

    The vineyard is set in the classic cool climate subregion of Red Hill at an altitude of 146 metres above sea level. The Pinot Noir vines are aged between 15 and 22 years; six clones are planted each with subtle characteristics which impart complexity to the resulting wine. The soil is a deep red volcanic clay that allows dry farming, without irrigation. Founder, Lindsay McCall, still tends to the vineyard characterised by its distinctive Lyre or ‘U’ trellis system which sits on an elaborate steel frame assembly.
