The wine is a blend of Garnacha, Syrah and Monastrell sourced from the rising star Valencia DO, and has been made by award-winning winemaker Victor Marqués at the state-of-the-art Bodegas Murviedro. Unoaked and fermented in stainless steel, this wine is all about freshness and capturing the essence of the Valencian sunshine.
This wine has aromas of black fruits, vanilla and toasted almonds, with a rich and rounded palate. It will pair beautifully with grilled meats, stews or cheese.

The Pegões vineyard is located between two Nature Reserves: the Tagus estuary to the Northwest and the Sado on the Southwest. To the east are the Arrabida hills and to the west the Alentejo province’s clays. The unique soil here is named “Pliocenico de Pegões”. It is a sandy soil formed over millions of years by sand transported by the rivers Tagus and Sado. It is this Mediterranean climate and soil combination that creates this unique Pegões terroir.
Red WineOne of the very first Rhône style blends in South Africa. This elegant Rhône blend displays Old World Style with New World fruit. Hint of Grenache’s earthy rusticity and Shiraz’s noble spice with hints of nutmeg and salty black olive on the finish. Balanced with soft integrated tannins.
Red WineDomaine la Ville Rouge cultivates its vineyard organically; the environment is respected and biodiversity is encouraged. This is surely one of the reasons that this 2017 Crozes-Hermitage is such an elegant, sumptuous and pure expression of Syrah. It is almost black in colour, offering intense aromas of red fruits with savoury hints of black olives. Spicy peppery notes come through on the silky palate.
The vineyard is undergoing conversion to biodynamic status, a philosophy that recognises the connection between all living things, and utilises lunar cycles and earth rhythms to dictate viticultural timings.
Red WineThis blend of Carignan, Grenache, Syrah (73%,22% and 5%) has inviting aromas of wild red fruits, hints of spice and a rustic minerality which leads to luscious layers of raspberry, strawberry, floral notes and pomegranate, surrounded by a subtle structure and a touch of liquorice on the finish. Zero Manipulation is the winemaking philosophy that is employed on all Peterson wines, using the gentlest winemaking techniques possible to maximise flavours, aromas and the original essence of the grapes from the given vineyard and vintage.
The Tollini Vineyard is located in Mendocino County’s Redwood Valley and has been in the Tollini family for three generations; now in the hands of Alvin Tollini. The Zero Manipulation Blend is made up of predominantly Carignan, where the vines are traditionally head trained and dry farmed. The blocks were originally planted by Alvin Tollini’s father and grandfather and old-vine, low yielding Carignan remains from the original plantings and produces concentrated, flavoursome fruit. Alvin’s father added to the acreage after he returned from WWII. The Syrah and Grenache were planted by Alvin using the same time-honoured techniques and sustainable approach and they add layers of depth, complexity and balance to the blend. The vines are planted on southwest facing benches in the Redwood Valley and are cultivated with a meticulously sustainable approach.
A subtle, precise style of Syrah built on fine tannins that educe harmony and freshness with flavours of black fruits, iodine and ground white peppercorns. Only 9253 bottles and 33 Magnums.
The grapes come from five small vineyard parcels in several locations in the Elgin Valley. Elgin is the coolest wine region in South Africa and is situated on an inland, hexagonal shaped plateau, at an altitude of 300 metres. The region is surrounded by mountains and lies just over six miles from the Atlantic Ocean, which brings occasional sea-borne mists. February is the hottest month of the year, with daytime temperatures peaking at 23°C and night-time temperatures dipping to 14°C. The benefit of this cooler climate is that the grape cluster stays connected to its roots for longer, so it develops complex characteristics and achieves physiological ripeness more gradually, resulting in lower sugar levels and consequently lower alcohol levels.
Red WineA wonderful expression of the traditional Barossa style. Grains of Paradise has dark, sweet aromas of chocolate, vanilla, spicy fruit cake and mocha. These lead to a rich and dense palate with weighty tannin and a smooth finish.
Shiraz grapes for the ‘Grains of Paradise’ come from the finest vineyard sites in the Barossa. For the 2017 vintage, much of the fruit was sourced from Charlie’s Nitschke vineyard in Krondorf. Relatively youthful at 20 years old, this vineyard produces some quality Shiraz. Most of the vineyard sits on loam and red clay; the vines are dry grown and spur pruned.

The Cuvée Barberini is a tribute to the founding fathers of the Estate and is made only in the best years from the best parcels of old vines of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. This Domaine has one of the best terroirs in Châteauneuf-du-Pape with its abundance of rounded quartzite stones, known as “Galet Roulés” terroir. These stones absorb heat during the day then radiate it at night, promoting full grape maturity. The grapes are manually harvested, once each variety has reached phenological ripeness. 2017 is classic Rhône vintage for reds and this wine is no exception. Well textured, ripe, full-bodied – delivering rich black fruits, mocha expresso and a subtle hint of smoke. Smooth on the palate with integrated tannins and a lingering finish, this is a traditional and elegant Châteauneuf.
