White WineA Dowie Doole interpretation of the Classic Australian Chardonnay. Chief Winemaker Chris Thomas has crafted a flavour-packed wine with a bouquet of fresh peaches and pears, a crisp citrus palate and a lively lingering finish.
The grapes for this wine are sourced from select vineyards alongside Australia’s longest river, the Murray. Designed to be drunk now and over the next year, it is a great wine to match to mussels, risotto and any white meats.

This delicious and refreshing homage to Alsace is made from grapes whose vineyards are located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. Characterised by the influence of the Southern Ocean, which provides breezes from the Antarctic, chilling the grapes and making it an ideal growing climate for Riesling and Gewürztraminer and Pinot Blanc – varietals that excel at these lower temperatures.
Riesling’s cool lime and minerality meshes with Gewurztraminer’s exotic spice and rose water. The softly textured palate has a long, refreshing acidity supported by citrus notes and rose petal on the finish.
The wine is called Stone’s Throw because the Riesling and Gewürztraminer are planted a stone’s throw from each other in the same vineyard.
Eden Valley is one of Australia’s premier cool climate wine regions renowned for its rugged beauty and distinctive elegant wines. This Reserve Chardonnay displays generous aromas of white rose, almond biscotti and tropical fruit. The palate is well structured with a creamy texture and delivers flavours of ripe grapefruit and lemon with layers of toasty vanilla and nutmeg adding complexity, through to a long, creamy finish.
White WineThis wine showcases the strength of Margaret River for Chardonnay with a restrained, modern, elegantly structured wine from one of the great Margaret River vineyards.
Fermented and matured for 11 months in French oak barriques. In the glass aromas of nectarine and ripe pear are interwoven with dried honey, light citrusy nougat and spice notes rise. Mid weighted and texturally rounded, the palate features nectarine and grapefruit flavours over a back drop of dried honey, citrus and lightly spiced nougat. Finishes nice and fresh with an elegant medium to long aftertaste.
Dry and aromatic, with pithy grapefruit, chalk and lime zest, this is a blend of 55% Riesling, 25% Pinot Gris and 20% Sylvaner. Careful blending and attention to detail has taken this textural, Alsatian inspired blend to a wonderful place. One for the Riesling lovers, but with a little more breadth, a lusher mouthfeel and spice.
Heralded as “one of Beechworth’s rising stars, husband and wife team Tessa and Jeremy Schmolzer Brown purchased a 20ha block of prime cleared land just south of Beechworth, complete with lake and abandoned goldmine back in 2013.
Seductive aromas of pear skin, grapefruit, white stone-fruit, citrus blossom and white flowers are complemented by hints of apple, lemon curd, clove spice and toasted almonds. Intense and focussed, the palate shows layer upon layer of pear and white peach, tightly wound by a deliciously creamy texture, and perfectly balanced with nectarine acidity and subtle oak nuances, for a powerful yet elegantly restrained, lingering finish.
Fifth-generation winemaker Stephen Henschke and his wife Prue purchased the Lenswood property in the Adelaide Hills in 1981. At 550 metres above sea level, the Lenswood vineyard offers not only magnificent views over the traditional vine country but also higher rainfall and humidity, cooler temperatures to retain high natural acidity, yet still enough sunshine to fully ripen the grapes. The chardonnay vineyard, which consists of seven clones, has taken its name from Frederick Croft, an orchardist who took up a neighbouring property in 1938.
White WineTen Minutes by Tractor needs little introduction, nor does the man in charge – Martin Spedding. A gently-spoken man with a background in finance and IT, in 2002, he finally acknowledged the fact that his true passion lay in wine. Despite his origins in New South Wales, he simply couldn’t get enough of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and would travel down to Victoria to immerse himself in Australia’s heartland of these noble varieties. In 2003 he visited one of his favourite small wineries on Mornington Peninsula and was delighted to discover that it was for sale. Without a moment’s hesitation, he snapped it up, and so began Martin’s journey with Ten Minutes by Tractor.
Aged in a mixture of new and old French oak barrels for 11 months. An exotic nose of curry leaf and spice with hints of honeydew and flint form the backbone of this multiple site Chardonnay. While the acid is tight, it creates a strong drive through the palate that is met by bursts of citrus peel with a fine finish.
White WineMount Pleasant, based in the Hunter Valley, was established in 1921 by the legendary winemaker Maurice O’Shea, from 16.3 hectares of adjoining parcels of land, which he named Mount Pleasant.
Expressive aromas of lemon, lime and concentrated lemongrass are layered with delicate floral overtones. The perfectly balanced palate has gorgeous acidity providing drive and cut, with intense citrus notes found throughout.
O’Shea selected the Lovedale vineyard site on the flats of the Pokolbin region of the Hunter Valley in 1939. Unfortunately, the outbreak of the Second World War saw O’Shea’s plans curtailed as the land was reclaimed by the Australian Government for use as an emergency landing field as a part of the war effort. O’Shea eventually planted his first Semillon vines on the site in the spring of 1946. Over the years, Lovedale has proven to be another brilliant choice by Maurice O’Shea, as the sandy aggregate loam soils help to capture the perfect tightness and acidity for making quality Semillon. The vineyard is cultivated using sustainable techniques, such as employing mulch to nourish the vines and growing cover crops to increase the biodiversity in the soil. This sustainable approach has resulted in some of the healthiest vines on the estate in recent years; the vines have developed plentiful canopies which have assisted in preventing sunburn of the fruit. The grapes are hand-harvested at optimal maturity.
Cullen’s Kevin John remains one of Australia’s classiest Chardonnays and is named after a pioneer of the Margaret River wine region. Biodynamic and carbon-neutral practices result in this incredibly perfumed wine which has intriguing aromas of white flower, orange blossom, fig, pear and kaffir lime. It leads to a poised, expansive palate defined by a fine, mineral acidity that drives the characteristic Kevin John flavours of lime, fig, dried pear and honeysuckle. Beautifully balanced, it shows many years of promise ahead.
