Billi Billi Shiraz is sourced from a selection of premium cool climate vineyards throughout Victoria; including a portion from the Mount Langi Ghiran vineyards, home of the iconic Langi Shiraz.

    The 2021 Barossa Grenache is made in a ‘joven’ style – released young and without any oak maturation. The Grenache was vinified through the historic 1888 Gravity Cellar – which is highly regarded for its small batch format and gentle maceration.

    The grapes were sourced from Seppeltsfields iconic bush vine Great Terraced Vineyard in the the Barossa.

    In the glass it is lively, medium crimson with pink hues. Lifted aromas of rosewater and Turkish delight with a strawberry note. Sweet fruited on the palate with a dried herb savoury edge, talcy acidity and plum skin tannins.

All their wines are handled gently in small batches with a restrained winemaking philosophy. With their red wines being open fermented, plunged regularly, basket pressed and not filtered, which ensures the wonderful authenticity and varietal character.

    The 2021 MV Shiraz is a plush and generous wine from McLaren Vale showing all its wonderful plump smooth drinking qualities.  Regional aromas of wild berries, pepper, chocolate and dried herbs. The palate has an approachable swagger and that regional savoury nuance. Delivering on the taught palate wild berries, cassis, star anise and tobacco. Time in oak has wrapped around the fruit acidity and silky tannins resulting in a vibrant style that needs a short time in the glass before it reveals its true character.

    The 2021 Seppeltsfield Barossa Shiraz Wine represents the estates diverse holding of vineyards that cross the Barossa Valleys Western ridge, from the North to Southern grounds. Generations of grape growers have farmed this variety in the region since the 1840s – the complex combination of varying geology, geography and climate interacting to express its qualities in manner of ways, from perfumed and elegant to rich and generous.

    In the glass it has lifted dark cherry and plum fruit with complex brown spices.  The palate shows classic Barossa ripeness, dark fruits and dark chocolate richness. Balanced yet subtle oak, juicy acidity and polished tannins.

The palate is spicy, juicy and concentrated with ripe blueberry and freshly cut strawberry and plum creating layers of flavour with bright acidity and complexity from long, fine, savoury tannins.

    This blend is a tribute to Henry Evans, who planted the first vineyard of seven acres at Keyneton in 1853. The blend highlights the historical introduction of southern French and Spanish varieties to South Australia in those early pioneering days and reflects the history, religion and culture of the Barossa.The fruit for this blend is sourced from selected growers in Eden Valley and Barossa Valley, with whom Stephen and Prue have been dealing for decades.

Delicious cherry and plum fruits inundate the mouth, underpinned by subtle anise, light forest floor and spicy fresh herb infusions. Supple mid-palate feel with velvety tannins, finishing with a lick of bright acidity. Excellent power wave with a long moreish aftertaste.  Drink over the next 4-5 years – will keep a lot longer if you avoid the temptation!
