  A rich and opulent wine with vibrant flavours of ripe cherries and plums combined with subtle overtones of cocoa and vanilla. Velvety and textured with brambly fruits on the palate and a warm finish, this packs a punch of flavour.

  Talo is the surname of one of the winegrowers that have supplied San Marzano for many years. San Marzano recognises the contribution their producers make, with whom they work closely to achieve the best from their land. The outstanding quality of these wines could not be created without them. The vineyard is located in Salento, Puglia at approximately 100 metres above sea level. The soft soil layer is clayey and quite thin, with a good presence of rocks, making it an ideal growing location for vines.

  The fruit comes from a combination of vineyards located in the Valle de Maule and the Valle de Colchagua.   This is a refined Chenin Blanc showing aromas of crisp green apples, white pear and delicate pineapple layered with subtle oak nuances. Rich and full, with a good depth of fruit and a refreshing feel to balance the rich and creamy palate.

  The grapes were grown in unique sites from older vines that have an average age of 37 years.  The grapes were hand-harvested and cooled overnight. Bunch sorting took place to ensure only the best grapes were vinified. Fermentation took place in a combination of vessels: 2,000-litre French oak foudres, seasoned barrels and stainless steel tanks. Each vessel resulted in a different expression of Chenin Blanc, imparting a layered dimension to the wine. The wine was aged for nine months on the lees in French oak, which contributed to the complexity and texture of the wine.
