  Brick-red in colour, with delicious aromas of ripe red berries, tobacco and stewed prunes, enveloping a voluptuous palate with refined sweetness and wonderful balance.  The wine was aged in old, used French oak barrels for five years- the length of time required for an ‘hors d’âge’ wine.

  The Rivesaltes AOC is flanked by the Mediterranean Sea to the east and surrounded by mountain ranges with the Pyrenees to the west, and the Albères to the south. In geological terms, the appellation endured enormous upheavals in the tertiary and quaternary periods, which created a complex variety of soils, subsoils and a multitude of terroirs. The terroir ranges from the Quaternary Terraces with red pebbles resting on shallow soils, on a clay subsoil with low water reserves which is where the Grenache Noir vines are planted- the variety used to produce the Rivesaltes Tuilé cuvée.

  2022 ‘Edda Lei Bianco’, San Marzano

  Edda is an intoxicating blend of Chardonnay, Fiano and Moscatello delivering aromas of sun-ripened peach and mellow floral aromatics, which are interwoven with delicate hints of vanilla. Fresh and beautifully balanced, the rounded palate is elegantly styled and has a touch of minerality on the finish.  It’s one of the best white wines we have tried from Puglia.

  The fusion of time-honoured tradition, passion and contemporary techniques, enables San Marzano to produce wines with distinctive varietal and regional characteristics while reflecting the local terroir.  The vineyard is located at approximately 100 metres above sea level and benefits from great diurnal temperature variation.
  Fermentation took place in French oak barrels. Following this, the wine was matured on its fine lees in barriques for a period of four months, with weekly lees stirring which imparted texture and complexity.

  2019 Rocim Indigena Organic, Herdade do Rocim

  This deeply coloured and concentrated wine is made from 100% Alicante Bouschet, a once popular French red grape that has now found a home in the Alentejo region of Portugal.  It has a wonderful depth of dark berried fruit complemented by a characteristic eucalyptus note. Full bodied, with vibrant freshness that beautifully balances the intensity of fruit.

  The estate is situated on the Vidigueira fault, a 30 mile long east-west facing escarpment which rises to 420 metres. The fault significantly influences the climate, trapping the cool, humid Atlantic winds, so despite its southern location it is one of the most temperate sub regions in the Alentejo. These cooling and humid influences descend at night, creating diurnal temperature differences of 15°C which extend the ripening period; with the warm days concentrating the flavours in the grapes, while balancing natural acidity is retained during the cool nights.

  Aromatic notes of flowers, golden apple and tropical fruit are accompanied by distinctive mineral overtones, typical of the native Carricante grape. Refreshing and crisp, with a lovely, spicy finish.

  Made from 100% Carricante which is an ancient white wine grape variety from eastern Sicily. It is thought to have been growing on the volcanic slopes of Mt Etna for at least a thousand years.

  Luci Luci grapes are grown in a vineyard is situated at an elevation of approximately 620 metres above sea level, where warm days and cool nights encourage a long ripening period concentrating the flavours in the grapes while retaining balancing acidity. The vines are grown in volcanic soils, which are rich in minerals and fossils. The soil is permeable to air and water and is rich in pumice stone and microelements, which allow the plants to produce a complex aromatic profile. The espalier-trained vines are spur pruned. The 10 year old vineyard is cultivated following the principles of organic and biodynamic cultivation and is in conversion to organic status.

  Perfumed aromas of ripe forest fruits are enveloped by hints of spice and vanilla. Silky smooth, warm and elegant on the palate with ripe fruit through to a persistent finish.

  Nerello Mascalese “nair-rello mask-ah-lay-zay” is a light-bodied red wine that primarily grows on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. It produces fine light to medium-bodied red wines reminiscent of Pinot Noir.

  2021 Riesling, Skillogalee

  The grapes for this dry Riesling are grown on low-yielding vines, along the contours on the highest slopes of the Skillogalee Estate at about 500 metres above sea level.

  In the glass the nose has a perfumed lift of jasmine, orange blossom spice and lemon zest. The palate is full-flavoured with excellent fruit concentration and texture. Flavours of lemon, lime zest and pith prevail, with hints of citrus spice and succulent, juicy acidity emerging thereafter. Structurally, this wine has impressive length, a lively natural acid backbone and a mouth-wateringly powerful finish.

  Drink now with fish, seafood or white meat dishes, or cellar for 5 years or more.

  With cool and dry weather, the 2021 vintage in the Clare Valley produced lovely fruit with excellent varietal character and natural acidity. The cool growing season was preceded by late-winter and early-spring rains which allowed for good spring growth on the vines. This was followed by below average rainfall and dry conditions for the remainder of the season, resulting in a vintage that produced beautiful and classic Clare wines with smaller bunches and grapes therefore reducing Riesling yield.

  Isabel Estate is located just outside of Renwick village in the Wairau Valley at the heart of Marlborough’s wine region. The site benefits from all the climate characteristics that make the Marlborough renowned including extended sunshine hours combined with a long, cool growing season.

  The Isabel Estate Sauvignon Blanc is the epitome of New Zealand’s Marlborough wine region. Benefiting from the estate’s old vines and the soils on the southwestern corner of the estate, the Isabel Sauvignon Blanc drinks beautifully young but also develops intriguing characters with age. The majority of the juice is fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness and purity, with 5% fermented in 500-litre French oak barrels to add complexity and a textural mouthfeel to the wine.  A pure tropical fruit nose of passionfruit and gooseberry gives way to nuances of blackcurrant, grapefruit and underlying flinty aromas.   Widely known as Malbec, Cot is a synonym, originally from southwestern France. In the Maipo Alto, it produces very fresh and expressive wines. The cooling influences of the mountain air, along with the Pacific Ocean breezes ensure a long ripening season, resulting in concentrated flavours in the berries combined with a balancing acidity.  Opulent, with a very perfumed nose of fresh cassis, raspberry, lemongrass and eucalyptus.   The grapes come from Perez Cruz Liguai Estate which is located in the Maipo Andes subregion and is nestled against the mountain foothills at between 440 and 520 metres elevation. The vines are trained on Double Guyot systems where the vines are drip irrigated and are grown in rocky soils of both alluvial and colluvial origin.  Harvested by hand, the grapes are picked when they have reached the perfect maturity.
