  Refined with graceful effervescence and aromatic complexity of almond, toasted and white floral notes. Precise on the palate with a silky texture and notes of citrus and fig through to a savoury finish.

  In 1911, when the vineyard classification became official, Raymond Duval-Leroy had a desire to pay tribute to his predecessors and create an exceptional wine. He was the first to work on a Champagne which would bring together Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties selected only from villages classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru within the Grande Vallée de la Marne, Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs regions. The first Champagne to be certified Premier Cru, this cuvée is composed of Chardonnay (70%) and Pinot Nor (30%); the blend has remained unchanged since it was created in 1911.

  During the first tasting sessions back in 1911, Raymond Duval-Leroy distinguished an aroma of white flowers evoking the scent of the ‘wine flower’ in June. This led to the creation of the cuvée named ‘Fleur de Champagne’

  An irresistible rosé Champagne combining great precision, freshness and fullness with charming aromas of wild strawberries, red and black currants, along with beautiful hints of vanilla and cinnamon spice.

  This rosé Champagne was produced using the solera method. Palmer & Co is one of the rare champagne houses to have adapted this well-known technique, often used for Spanish wines, for the creation of its champagnes. Each year, Palmer & Co adds red wines from the new harvest, which have been barrel-aged and typically amounts to 6-7%, to compensate for the wine drawn off. This perpetual reserve was started 40 years ago and is kept in stainless steel tanks. It forms an extraordinary library expressing a unique combination of red fruit and spice aromas and flavours. This rosé Champagne was then bottle-aged for two to three years on the lees, in the 18-metre- deep chalk cellars which imbues the wine with incredible complexity.

  Established in 1986 by the Donaldson family, Pegasus Bay is a pioneering estate in New Zealand’s Waipara Valley. The Prima Donna Pinot Noir represents the pinnacle of their winemaking, produced only in exceptional vintages. Sourced from the oldest ungrafted vines on the estate, planted on the free-draining Glasnevin Gravels, this wine reflects a unique terroir characterised by low fertility soils and a cool mesoclimate. Traditional Burgundian methods are employed, including natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation in French oak barriques (approximately 40% new) for 14 months.   Domaine Jean Chauvenet is a respected family-run estate located in the heart of Nuits-Saint-Georges, with a long-standing reputation for crafting traditional, terroir-expressive Pinot Noir. Since the 1990s, winemaker Christophe Drag, son-in-law of Jean Chauvenet, has brought a steady hand and a quiet evolution to the domaine, focusing on precise vineyard work, sustainable viticulture, and minimal intervention in the cellar. The estate farms around 9 hectares, including prime holdings in several Premier Cru sites, all vinified to showcase the unique personality of each parcel.

  The 2016 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru ‘Les Bousselots’ comes from a north-facing Premier Cru vineyard near the border with Vosne-Romanée, where clay-limestone soils and excellent drainage produce wines with both power and finesse. The 2016 vintage, marked by early challenges and a late, brilliant harvest, has yielded a wine of purity, elegance, and age-worthy structure.

  In the glass, this wine offers an expressive nose of dark cherry, blackberry, and crushed violets, lifted by hints of graphite, spice, and forest floor.   Another sensational vintage of Estate Pinot Noir from Paringa.  Powerful aromatics of dark cherries and ripe strawberries tinged with hints of violets soar out of the glass. Ensuing are some anise, lightly toasted cedar, forest floor and spice. Delicious dark cherry, strawberry and anise flavours show terrific intensity and drive across the palate. Supple yet fresh in its feel with nuances of forest floor, dried meats, fresh herbs and spicy cedar in the background. Nicely balanced natural acidity and very polished tannins add class. Superb depth and persistence with a very long savoury conclusion.

  A characterful, rose-gold sparkling rosé with fragrant aromas of plum, strawberry and peach blossom. Refreshing and beautifully balanced, with enticing cherry, fresh fig and a sprinkle of fresh ginger through to a touch of spice on the finish.

  The grapes come from Ford Farm Vineyard in East Sussex, in the Sussex Weald an area of outstanding natural beauty. The vineyard comprises three parcels on one farm, which are south facing and surrounded by woodland which offers maximum protection from wind and excellent heat retention. This sheltered, warm and dry site offers ideal conditions for growing grapes to produce concentrated sparkling wines. The vines are Guyot trained at elevations of between 50 to 80 metres above sea level. The soil is clay, with underlying sandstone, which offers good water retention properties to nourish the vines. The vines are cultivated using sustainable practices; under-vine weeding takes place to control weeds, herbicides are not used, with solar panels for electricity and boreholes for water. A wildflower meadow, fruit orchard and woodland promote bees, wildlife, and biodiversity.

  2021 Wallis Chardonnay, Ten Minutes By Tractor

  Ten Minutes by Tractor needs little introduction, nor does the man in charge – Martin Spedding. A gently-spoken man with a background in finance and IT, in 2002, he finally acknowledged the fact that his true passion lay in wine. Despite his origins in New South Wales, he simply couldn’t get enough of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and would travel down to Victoria to immerse himself in Australia’s heartland of these noble varieties. In 2003 he visited one of his favourite small wineries on Mornington Peninsula and was delighted to discover that it was for sale. Without a moment’s hesitation, he snapped it up, and so began Martin’s journey with Ten Minutes by Tractor.

  Complexity is always the name of the game with this single vineyard ‘Wallis’ Chardonnay -this 2021 iteration is another complete wine. White nectarine, fig and green papaya jump from the glass inviting you to explore this elegant Chardonnay.
