The grapes come from the estate vineyards in Rías Baixas, predominantly from the Santa Mariña vineyard, where the vines are traditionally farmed. The vines are influenced by the strong cooling sea-breezes from the Atlantic, which enables the vines to have a long, slow and gradual maturation, helping to build aromatic complexity in the grapes and retain the bright, natural acidity that Albariño is famed for.
White WineTorrontes is Argentina’s signature white grape and this 2022 Torrontes is made from 40-year-old vines in the Uco Valley and is a classic example of the variety. Made by superstar winemaker Matias Riccitelli, it has a fresh nose with inviting aromas of roses and citrus. On the palate, it’s complex, refreshing with a deliciously creamy texture.
The grapes are grown in Tupungato, a renowned high-altitude wine district in the north of the Uco Valley. The climate offers excellent conditions for premium viticulture. The vines are planted at 1,000 meters above sea level and benefit from large diurnal temperature variations which result in a longer growing season. The heat assists in the promotion of sugar levels in the ripening grapes, while the coolness of the night retains acidity levels, achieving healthy and balanced berries.

The palate is medium-bodied offering apple, pear, quince fruits and zesty citrus flavours with a delicate creamy texture derived from lees stirring. A bright, refreshing wine; crisp and dry, with a lingering fruit finish.
The wine is best consumed in its youth however it is certainly suitable for medium-term cellaring of 3-5 years.

The aromatic Treixadura variety is a local variety of the Ribeiro region. This slow-ripening white variety can be sensitive, so site selection is paramount. The Pazo do Mar Treixadura vineyard is a testament to this: the grapes for this wine come from the Torre do Olivar vineyard, a viticultural site that dates back to the Middle Ages. In 2002, the vineyard was replanted with the current Treixadura vines. The vineyard sits at an elevation of 150 metres above sea level on a meander of the Miño River, which has a moderating influence on the vines, as they have been oriented to encourage maximum exposure to the sun. The soil is sedimentary with slate components, which retains the warmth of the day and radiates it at night, as Treixadura needs warm soils for optimum quality.

Valençay became an AOC appellation in 2003 and is situated in the eastern part of the Loire Valley, approximately 60 miles west of Sancerre. The terroir is characterised by clay, limestone and flinty soils which impart the distinctive mineral characters to the wine. The region is influenced by the northern, cool climate, resulting in lively wines from grapes with characteristic high levels of acidity. Domaine Minchin is certified by Haute Valeur Environmentale and the vineyards are managed according to a strict sustainable philosophy, known as la lutte raisonnée. The vineyard is planted with grass, and the soil is tilled and worked to ensure the health and vigour of the vine, while encouraging beneficial biodiversity.
White WineThe Paddy Borthwick ‘Paper Road’ Sauvignon Blanc takes its name from original survey documents which described a road which was to run through the Estate family vineyard. Thankfully, the Paper Road was never formed, and instead, it gives its name to this Sauvignon Blanc. With aromas of gooseberry, lychee, grapefruit and guava, the palate is balanced by fine acidity and fruit sweetness. The Paper Road Sauvignon Blanc is a wine with great aromatic power.
White WineChivite Las Fincas Blanco 2 Garnachas is a barrel-fermented white wine made by the Chivite winery with the Garnacha Tinta and Garnacha Blanca grape varieties. This unique wine is the result of various rosé winemaking experiment, during which they discovered a melting pot of aromas, textures and hues, some colourless, authentic Blanc de Noirs, with captivating and exotic aromas. This gave them the idea of creating a new white wine made solely from the Garnacha Tinta. The blend needed rounding out and something that would give the wine a bit more complexity on the nose so that came with the addition of a proportion of Garnacha Blanca fermented in barrel.
The result is a wine that bears all the hallmarks of the Chivite wines and is therefore typical of the Legardeta estate, with an emphasis on acidic tension that brings freshness and balances the smoothness with a complex and nuanced bouquet.

The grapes were harvested from a single vineyard in Marlborough’s Blind River area of the Awatere Valley. The Blind River area is building a very good reputation for its ability to produce wines with concentrated citrus expression. The climate for this area is typically very dry. The grapes were harvested at the peak of flavour development in the cool of the evening.
White WineChalmers make incredible characterful wines from Mediterranean grape varieties that they have imported, cultivated in vineyards in Heathcote, Victoria. They released Australia’s first Vermentino wine in 2004 and it’s since become a trademark line in the range, their ‘go-to’ white. There are now more than 100 winemakers working with the grape across Australia and it’s no wonder when it loves the sunshine and makes such delicious wines with ultimate drinkability.
Chalmers Vermentino is a truly unique iteration of the Mediterranean grape and this 2014 vintage marks a decade of Vermentino in Australia. It opens in the glass with aromas of soft stonefruit, herbs and sea spray that is so distinctive to the Vermentino grape. The palate is lively and racy with lovely savoury overtones. Think white nectarine, Amalfi lemons, Italian herbs and a crushed rock minerality as well as that gorgeous sea saltiness associated with the grape. We love this wine at WR!
The grapes come from the Chalmers vineyard in Heathcote and are grown on rich, red Cambrian soil, sitting 150-170m above sea level. The grapes are handpicked, whole bunch pressed with wild fermentation before the wine sits on less for 6 months.
White WineThe Delaire Graff Chenin Blanc Swartland Reserve is made from 100% estate-grown Chenin Blanc grapes. Barrel fermented and matured in oak for 10 months this wine is a light golden wheat colour. Layered expressions of citrus and tropical fruit with subtle layers of honey and almonds in the background. Balanced and superbly structured, the flavours are complemented by a delicate minerality.
White WineAromas of freshly cut pear mingle with citrus undertones on this softly textured Pinot Gris. The palate is beautifully balanced with layers of poached pear, honeycomb and a touch of sweet pastry on the finish.
The fruit for this wine is predominantly sourced from selected vineyards in the flood plains of Marlborough’s lower Wairau Valley. The eastern flood plain soils are nutrient-rich silty loam, renowned for delivering fruit-forward notes. Once the grapes were picked they were immediately pressed to minimise skin contact followed by cool fermentation in with selected yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, in order to capture the desired level of fruity aromatics. A small proportion was aged in seasoned French oak adding complexity to the wine.
