White WineTorrontes is Argentina’s signature white grape and this 2022 Torrontes is made from 40-year-old vines in the Uco Valley and is a classic example of the variety. Made by superstar winemaker Matias Riccitelli, it has a fresh nose with inviting aromas of roses and citrus. On the palate, it’s complex, refreshing with a deliciously creamy texture.
The grapes are grown in Tupungato, a renowned high-altitude wine district in the north of the Uco Valley. The climate offers excellent conditions for premium viticulture. The vines are planted at 1,000 meters above sea level and benefit from large diurnal temperature variations which result in a longer growing season. The heat assists in the promotion of sugar levels in the ripening grapes, while the coolness of the night retains acidity levels, achieving healthy and balanced berries.

Talo is the surname of one of the winegrowers that have supplied San Marzano for many years. San Marzano recognises the contribution their producers make, with whom they work closely to achieve the best from their land. The outstanding quality of these wines could not be created without them. The vineyard is located in Salento, Puglia at approximately 100 metres above sea level. The soft soil layer is clayey and quite thin, with a good presence of rocks, making it an ideal growing location for vines.
Tropical aromas of passionfruit, guava and blackcurrant combine with nettle and subtle chalky mineral notes. The rich, full palate with grapefruit and blackcurrant leaf is enveloped in green notes of nettle and pepper and a delicate sea salt character, through to a long, mineral finish.
The grapes was sourced from a selection of vineyards located predominantly in the lower Wairau sub-region. This is what Saint Clair regards as Marlborough’s best subregion for Sauvignon Blanc, producing wines with heightened expression. These vineyards sit on alluvial, silt soils. Nicknamed ‘Bob’ by her family (some of you may recognize the Blackadder reference), Bob Short for Kate is a tribute to Kate Glover, an amazing young drama teacher and Ben’s sister, who passed away in 2018. Ben explains that he has looked to produce a wine that characterises the honesty, purity and confidence of Kate. These are organic, Marlborough wines, reliant on selected blocks from the family’s vines and exceptional fruit selection. Not to mention the skill of one of the region’s most well-regarded winemakers.
Red WineThis wine is a delightful blend of Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, and Cinsault grapes from the St Guilhem le Désert region in the sunny Val de Montferrand. In the glass, it offers aromas of black cherries and eucalyptus, with hints of cocoa.
