Results per page:This incredible value wine is produced by the Cellers Unio co-operative in Terra Alta, west of the Catalonia coastline. Garnacha thrives in these hot conditions, while the local winds blow through the vineyard, helping to temper the heat and keep the vines clean.
The wine opens in the glass with expressive aromas of flowers and red fruits with some really interesting balsamic notes. The palate is ripe, fresh and fruity with a touch of sweetness.
Brilliant Grenache for the money.
The wines of Clos Dalian are handcrafted by one of Spain’s greatest co-ops. Since 1942, the Cellers Unio have continued a 200-year-old winemaking tradition in Catalonia and the surrounding regions.
This white Grenache/Garnacha is bright white with golden hue. Aromas of ripe white fruit and minerals rise from the glass. The palate is surprising for this price – creamy, fleshy, fresh and very seductive in the mouth. Its mid-palate is quite long and silky. This is an all-round good drinking wine that surprises you with its flavour, texture and food-friendly nature. Great value.
A Dowie Doole interpretation of the Classic Australian Chardonnay. Chief Winemaker Chris Thomas has crafted a flavour-packed wine with a bouquet of fresh peaches and pears, a crisp citrus palate and a lively lingering finish.
The grapes for this wine are sourced from select vineyards alongside Australia’s longest river, the Murray. Designed to be drunk now and over the next year, it is a great wine to match to mussels, risotto and any white meats.
The Long River Shiraz is made by Dowie Doole Chief Winemaker Chris Thomas and is sourced from selected vineyards grown alongside Australia’s longest river, the River Murray in South Australia. Pure 100% Shiraz this red wine exhibits aromas of plum, clove and pepper alongside notes of vanilla and mocha from the use of oak. The fruit from the nose flows onto the palate bursting with luscious flavours of plum and vanilla giving the wine a long lingering finish.
This Chardonnay is bright yellow in colour. The nose is fresh and fruity, with tropical notes of pineapple and melon. These ripe aromas carry through to the palate and are balanced with fresh acidity.
Grapes for the Tanguero wines come from the Barrancas region in southern Maipú, Mendoza. The vines here are planted on rocky, well-draining soils to the south of the Mendoza river, at 700 metres above sea level. The vineyards are located at high altitudes, meaning there is a high diurnal range. This extends the growing season and helps to retain freshness and finesse in the wines.
The wine is a blend of Garnacha, Syrah and Monastrell sourced from the rising star Valencia DO, and has been made by award-winning winemaker Victor Marqués at the state-of-the-art Bodegas Murviedro. Unoaked and fermented in stainless steel, this wine is all about freshness and capturing the essence of the Valencian sunshine.
This wine has aromas of black fruits, vanilla and toasted almonds, with a rich and rounded palate. It will pair beautifully with grilled meats, stews or cheese.
This classic Muscadet from the Loire Valley is refreshing and pure, with white fruit and citrus characters combined with crisp acidity, bright minerality and a lemony hint on the finish.
The vineyards are managed using environmentally friendly viticultural practices and are sustainably farmed. The soils are old volcanic, imparting a distinctive minerality to the wine.
