The iconic Ten Minutes by Tractor has numerous amazing vineyards on the Mornington Peninsula and the Judd vineyard may be the best of them all, it is the oldest and steepest of all the TMT single vineyards.

The Reserve range continues to be the best of what Xanadu are able to produce in a given vintage – single vineyard or otherwise. Fruit was predominantly sourced from two mature, dry grown vineyards; Timber Creek, in the Wilyabrup subregion; and Victory Point in the Treeton subregion of Margaret River and was supplemented with a small amount of Malbec from the Stevens Road vineyard in Wallcliffe. The resulting blend from these vineyards has married beautifully, proving again that sometimes ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its parts’.
The Reserve range continues to be the best of the best of what Xanadu can produce in a given vintage. This is the 11th consecutive release of Reserve Chardonnay, 100% of the fruit for this wine is from the estate’s oldest iconic Chardonnay vineyard, the Lagan Estate.
The bouquet of this powerful, yet elegant Chardonnay displays fresh pear and lemon/lime characters with underlying hints of roasted cashews and frangipani adding complexity. The sophisticated palate is medium-bodied with a wonderful purity of fruit, offering pear puree, zesty grapefruit flavours and a quartz-like, almost crystalline, mineral edge to the structure. Dubbed ‘the Sassicaia of the South’ by Robert Parker in 1995, Montevetrano is a wine that sells at a price well below its comparative quality. With a trailblazing owner, creating wines from international grape varieties that are recognisably Italian, Montevetrano has gained a cult following. Brainchild of Silvia Imperatore, who enlisted the help of her friend and top winemaking consultant Riccardo Cotarella, it’s not hard to see why the estate is so frequently likened to legend Sassicaia.
The 2005 Montevetrano is holding together very nicely. The bouquet is elegantly polished with fine aromas of pressed dark fruit, black currant and spice. Now, more than fifteen years after the vintage, the wine has come together with seamless evolution. There are no loose ends here. The dark fruit segues immediately to spice and later onto crushed mineral. That seamless quality also applies to the long and polished mouthfeel. Finishes clean and impressively long.

The 1999 vintage 21-Year-Old Para Tawny is proudly a single vintage fortified wine, whereby parcels have been matured in old oak hogsheads. Brandy spirit has been used as the fortification element, which along with extensive oxidative ageing, gives rise to roasted nut, praline and butterscotch aromas and flavours. A fine example of single vintage Tawny from extended barrel maturation, lifted, fresh & elegant.
The friendship between Ernst Loosen, of the Dr. Loosen Estate in Germany, and Peter Barry, of Jim Barry Wines, Australia, began in 1995 at the London Wine Fair. Forged out of mutual respect for the noble variety Riesling, this collaboration of ideas pays homage to the wine making techniques used by the Loosen family for generations, and the vineyard practices of the Barry family.
The German-style Riesling made in Australia is called Wolta Wolta, (Aboriginal for ‘good water’) in honour of one the Barry family’s most significant and successful land purchases, which later became known as Lodge Hill. The Australian-style Riesling, made with grapes from the Erdener Treppchen Vineyard in Germany, is called Walhalla, (pronounced Valhalla) named after the majestic hall ruled over by Odin in Norse mythology.
It was no simple task for an Australian winemaker to make a German-style Riesling and vice versa, but when each winemaker can draw on forty years of experience of their counterpart, the possibilities are genuinely intriguing, and even though Peter and Tom Barry were uncertain they could make such a different style of Riesling, they were delighted with the outcome.
This project is not about sales. This is a project of passion, designed to test the skills, explore the possibilities, and hopefully, get people thinking about Riesling in a different way.

Lota is the flagship wine of Cousiño Macul, an emblem of heritage, precision, and exceptional terroir. Sourced from the winery’s most treasured parcels, including Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 1932, this wine represents the pinnacle of the family’s winemaking tradition. These ungrafted vines are descendants of original French cuttings brought to Chile in the 1860s and grow at the foot of the Andes, 600 meters above sea level, in rocky, loamy soils that yield naturally low quantities of intensely concentrated fruit.
In the glass, the 2019 Lota reveals a nose that is rich and layered, offering aromas of cassis, blackberry, and black cherry interwoven with cedar, cocoa, and subtle hints of warm spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, yet impressively refined. Lush black fruit flavours are framed by fine, ripe tannins and nuanced oak, creating a harmonious balance that culminates in a long, elegant, and ultra-smooth finish.
This is a wine of power, grace, and provenance, worthy of extended cellaring, but compellingly drinkable now. Ideal for collectors and connoisseurs seeking a Cabernet-based wine that marries Old World sophistication with New World vitality.
This fascinating vineyard is located at the top of the highest hill of the La Court estate and has an exposure of 360 degrees surface area of the vineyard. Set within a UNESCO World Heritage Site the vineyard that the grapes for this wine came from is only 1 hectare in size and was planted in 1964 so production is very limited and only in the best years.
2010 was one such year producing an intense and concentrated Barbera. The nose is elegant yet complex with notes of black fruits, black cherry, wild flowers and sweet spices. These flavours flow into the palate which is like velvet, silky and fresh. The classic Barbera acidity is integrated and allows the cassis and black fruit flavours to shine. The finish is long and persistent. This wine will improve and last for many years. Drink now to 2035.
This is great wine for Agnolotti with a roasted meat sauce, tagliolini with porcini, braised lamb and well-matured cheeses.

This magnificent Blanc de Blanc from Hattingley Valley has aged wonderfully as you would expect of top quality Blanc de Blanc. It shows a vibrant hue and opens with aromas of sourdough bread, kumquat and shades of forest floor that fill the nose. The palate shows great vibrancy and weight with bright lemon oil, nectarine and brioche. This gives way to a rich toasty and honeyed charm. The palate is beautifully balanced and complex. A rich and rounded mouthfeel and long finish.
