2023 Stonevik, Viña VIK

    £16500

A full-bodied blend imbued with tightly layered tannins giving a velvety texture and notes of blackberry, earthy notes, mushroom, graphite and herbal hints of sage. Delicious and long with chocolatey tones on the everlasting finish.

STONEVIK is a natural wine created in nature by nature. A blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère from vineyards where the best holistic, organic and biodynamic practices were used.

The grapes were fermented in toasted oak barrels with the Barroir method (with oak fallen from the property) for a period equivalent to a lunar cycle. The wine is then aged in handmade amphorae made by artisans using the same clay as VIK’s terroir. A total of 7 amphorae, 3 in honour of the universe and 4 in honour of the earth, aligned according to astronomical principles. The amphorae are semi-buried in the highest peak of VIK Park, over 1,000 meters above sea level, surrounded by centenary oak trees, in a sector VIK call “La Roblería”. It is there where STONEVIK lies under the wisdom of the forest and where, in each summer solstice, nature gives us this exceptional wine.

The Cabernet glass is perfect for full-bodied, complex red wines that are high in tannin.
The generous size of this glass allows the bouquet to develop fully and smooths out the rough edges. It emphasises the fruit, playing down the bitter qualities of the tannin, and allows wines to achieve balance.

This product is made of clear crystal glass.

The revolutionary series RIEDEL Veritas debuted in 2014 to set the standard for glassware yet again. 10th-generation Georg J. Riedel asked the brand’s world-class technicians to create a series that was visually stunning, a delight to hold, and price-competitive. They accomplished their task with excellence, creating a wine glass collection for the 21st century.

    This item is premium machine-made.

    £16500

The Champagne Wine Glass is perfect for developing and displaying champagne’s complex characteristics.
This glass allows a wide range of aromatics to unfold. Unlike a flute, the egg-shaped design allows the complex layers to grow and intensify, and the larger rim diameter enables them to be released in a way which is not achieved with a narrow glass. The glass also includes a ‘sparkling point’ to aid the formation of the Champagne bubbles.

This glass is perfect for light, fresh, dry champagnes, proseccos and sparkling wines.

    ABK6 XO Renaissance Cognac

    £16995

ABK6 Cognac is a modern, family-owned house with deep roots in the Grande Champagne region, the Premier Cru of Cognac. Founded by the Abécassis family, the estate is led by Elisabeth and Francis Abécassis, who are committed to a single-estate philosophy, cultivating, distilling, and ageing all their eaux-de-vie from their own vineyards. This complete control from vine to bottle allows ABK6 to craft Cognacs of exceptional purity, character, and finesse, blending traditional savoir-faire with a sleek, modern aesthetic that appeals to a new generation of spirits enthusiasts.

The ABK6 XO Renaissance represents the culmination of decades of craftsmanship. Made exclusively from eaux-de-vie aged for a minimum of ten years in French oak barrels, this exceptional Cognac is a tribute to the estate’s philosophy of purity, structure, and finesse. It showcases the full potential of well-aged, single-estate Grande and Petite Champagne spirit.

A beautiful rancio character emerges mid-palate, adding depth and complexity. The finish is long, warm, and luxuriously textured, with echoes of leather, dark honey, and sweet spice.

  • 2016 Estate Pinot Noir, Magnum, Paringa Red Wine

2016 Estate Pinot Noir, Magnum, Paringa

    £17500

A magnificent aged magnum of Pinot Noir from an Iconic cool climate Estate in the Mornington Peninsula.

The Paringa team is confident the 2016 reds will be regarded amongst the Paringa greats. A hot weekend, then a week of solid rains in early March was followed by somewhat of an Indian summer. Pinot Noir yields in 2016 were down 20 – 30%, but resulted in great concentrated flavour & excellent overall quality. In the winery berries were de-stemmed (100%) and fermented in two-tonne open fermenters. Maturation took place over 11 months on lees in French Oak barrels (50% new). This wine has complex lifted aromas of red fruit / dark cherries supported by spicy savoury oak. The palate has attractive spicy dark cherry flavours, fine grained tannins that combine to produce a lovely textural mouthful. The poise & balance of this wine make it one of the best Paringa Pinots made in recent time.

The vineyard is set in the classic cool climate subregion of Red Hill at an altitude of 146 metres above sea level. The Pinot Noir vines are aged between 20 and 30 years; six clones are planted each with subtle characteristics which impart complexity to the resulting wine. The soil is a deep red volcanic clay that allows dry farming, without irrigation. Founder, Lindsay McCall, still tends to the vineyard characterised by its distinctive Lyre or ‘U’ trellis system which sits on an elaborate steel frame assembly.

Crafted in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ, this exceptional cuvée is a testament to the house’s unwavering dedication to terroir, where the unique characteristics of their vineyards are brought to life in every bottle. 2019 Chardonnay ‘B.A. Thieriot Vineyard’, Senses

    £18500

This Chardonnay comes from the famed Thieriot Vineyard, over the years, the grapes from these blocks have been sold to top- class producers in the region. Vintage after vintage, this vineyard consistently produces high-scoring single vineyard wines and is renowned as being one of the premier vineyards on the Sonoma Coast.

With incredibly salty minerality, this racy style shows beautiful lemon curd, floral notes and brioche notes through to toasty, hazelnut nuances and a rich palate with flawless balance and an exquisite finish.

2019 stands out as one of the more exceptional vintages in recent memory. Cooler temperatures and stable weather throughout the growing season allowed for slow maturation of flavours without any heat events spiking sugar accumulation in the berries. Although 2019 also saw the devastating Kincade fire in Sonoma County, the fruit was harvested by then, so the smoke did not affect the grapes.

2019 Pinot Noir ‘Day One’, Senses

    £18500

Classic aromas of mulled red and black fruits, forest floor, conifer, and spiced orange carry through to a velvety palate showing wonderful purity of fruit, a precise texture and supreme balance.

The fruit comes from the Hillcrest Vineyard, a single vineyard site purchased by Myles’ parents, Carleton Briggs and Lisa Lawrence in 1988. Located just outside of Occidental, this site borders the Charles Heintz Vineyard to the west and is home to the original Chardonnay planting in the West Sonoma Coast. It has however since been replanted to Pinot Noir, which thrives in the warm microclimate which is tempered by the cool, coastal breezes and the trademark fog that lingers over the vineyards, bringing moisture and cooling the vines. The result is a long hang-time, during which the vines slowly build aromatic complexity, concentrated flavours, superbly balanced by natural, acidity.

2020 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru, Domaine Hubert Lignier

    £18900

Nestled in the heart of Morey-Saint-Denis, Domaine Hubert Lignier is a benchmark estate of the Côte de Nuits, celebrated for crafting terroir-driven, age-worthy Pinot Noir. Founded in the early 20th century, the domaine rose to prominence under the guidance of Hubert Lignier, whose dedication to traditional viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking earned international acclaim. Today, his son Laurent Lignier carries on the legacy, farming organically and working with a deep respect for the land and the nuances of each vineyard. With holdings in some of Burgundy’s most prestigious crus, including Clos de la Roche, Charmes-Chambertin, and Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Crus, the domaine delivers wines of exceptional depth, purity, and finesse.

The 2020 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is the crown jewel in the estate’s lineup, sourced from one of Burgundy’s most powerful and complex Grand Cru sites. Clos de la Roche, situated in Morey-Saint-Denis, is renowned for its ability to deliver both muscular structure and aromatic elegance, and Lignier’s interpretation is a masterclass in balance and restraint.

In the glass, this wine reveals an alluring bouquet of black cherry, wild berries, violet, and crushed rose petals, wrapped in earthy notes of graphite, forest floor, and subtle spice. The palate is intense and multi-layered, with a core of ripe, dark fruit framed by firm yet velvety tannins and a vibrant mineral tension. It carries both the density of the vintage and the precision for which the domaine is known, building toward a long, stately finish that echoes with power and poise.

The 2020 Clos de la Roche is a wine of great stature and longevity, one that will benefit from cellaring over the next two decades, yet already hints at its profound complexity. A truly grand expression of Grand Cru Burgundy, from a domaine that consistently delivers wines of soul and substance.

1991 Occhio di Pernice, Avignonesi, 375ml

    £19500

The Occhio di Pernice is made from Sangiovese grapes, locally known as Prugnolo Gentile. It undergoes the same process as the Vin Santo, resulting in a wonderful array of liquid caramel, candied berry fruits and plum marmalade.

The winemaking process is fascinating and starts with the grapes being carefully placed in small wooden boxes. They are then laid out on straw mats to dry and only pressed the following spring. The winemaker receives only small amounts of juice, but it is full of extracts and with a very high density (Oechsle). The grape must is then sealed for 10 years in used wooden barrels called Caratelli where it vinifies and matures in them without the barrels ever being opened. The Occhio di Pernice Vin Santo then matures in the bottle for a further six months before release.

The name Occhio di Pernice means “eye of the partridge” in German and is derived from the amber colour of the grapes as they ripen.
