  An elegant Viognier with hints of nectarine, ginger and honeysuckle. Precise, crisp and balanced on the palate, with a roundness of generously structured fruit and a long, elegant finish.

  The vineyard that this Viognier comes from is situated 15 kilometres south of Nîmes, near the village of Manduel, in the heart of the ‘Appellation d’Origine Protégée’ of the Costières de Nîmes. The average age of the vines is about 25 years. The main characteristic of the vineyard is the soil, which is formed of ‘gress’, an accumulation of rounded pebbles that have been deposited by the overflowing Rhône River thousands of years ago. These pebbles allow the vines to grow in the best possible conditions and due to this natural soil filter; the vine’s roots can easily draw the necessary water for their growth. The vines also benefit from the Mediterranean sunshine, which brings the grapes to perfect maturity and allows them to be picked at maximum phenolic maturity which assured elegance in the resulting wine.

  There’s a real ‘standing in a field during spring’ vibe to this wine. Lots of golden sunshine, cut-straw, and yellow peach flavours. It’s round, and generous, with substantial palate weight and mouthfeel. It’s rich, toasty, and opulent.

  The name of the wine originates from the fact that the first crop of Roussanne from the 2000 vintage was covered in tiny ‘Money Spiders’. Popular belief is that kindness to these creatures will bring good luck, so Chester refrained from sending the spiders to their death. By the next year, the Money Spiders had relocated, making the first release of this wine in 2001.

  A classic rose petal colour, this elegant, dry rosé shows aromatic notes of grapefruit and delicate citrus hints, through to a refreshing palate of red berry fruits with a lifted finish.

  The terroir in the vineyard is characterised by the ‘Galets’ or large pebbles that are remnants of Alpine glaciers that have been smoothed over millennia by the Rhône. These pebbles absorb and store the heat from the sun during the day and release it at night, encouraging the vines to ripen the grapes. The vines here have established a deep root system enabling them to draw the mineral elements they need to grow and providing a complexity of flavour to the resulting wine. The Mediterranean sunshine is vital to the maturation and phenolic ripeness of the grapes.

  An opulent and spicy full-flavoured wine, with layered flavours of prunes and garrigue from this award-winning producer.

  The vineyards are located in the relatively new appellation of Plan de Dieu, which translates as Plan of God in English. Despite the first historical mentions of the “Plan Dei”, which date back to a parchment from 1326, the lieu-dit of Plan de Dieu was only designated a red wine producing appellation in 2005. The climate here is classic Mediterranean with the additional influence of the Mistral winds. The terroir sits on an alluvial plateau with calcareous gravel, which retains water, helping to preserve the vines during the hot and often arid summer months.

  The wines of Castello Vicchiomaggio truly show off the Sangiovese grape at its best. Vicchiomaggio is consistently classified amongst Italy’s top estates and winemaker John Matta has been named IWSC Italian Winemaker of the Year four times in the last 14 years.

  The 2019 Chianti Classico ‘San Jacopo’ is named after an antique farmhouse located on the wine estate.   It is a lovely expression of Chianti, with red cherry and cranberry fruits, the palate has good substance and a lingering, rounded finish.

  The vineyards are located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region and sit at an altitude of 255 to 265 metres above sea level. The Chianti Classico area is characterised by a Mediterranean climate and the soil, which is called “Galestro”, is rich in clay and large stones. The soils in this vineyard are made up of a high proportion of heavy clay- approximately 30%- which is renowned for its cooling properties and water retention for the vine, as well as for producing bold wines from the Sangiovese grape. Planted at a density of 5,600 vines per hectare, the vines are pruned according to the Single Guyot method which ensures low yields of approximately 52 hectolitres per hectare. Particular attention is paid to the direction in which the vines are planted; they are all south-facing, ensuring maximum exposure to the sun throughout the day.

  The winemaking philosophy at Oak Ridge honours the importance of finding balance between the land and the makers, beginning first with growing quality grapes. Maggio has become part of the Lodi Rules initiative, which guides sustainable farming practices. Created by farmers it was initially launched as a grassroots educational integrated pest management programme in 1992. Recognising the importance of the ecosystem and biodiversity in the vineyard, it includes pest management initiatives, such as introducing natural predators, which minimises the risks to birds, bees, water and people. Water is carefully managed to ensure efficiency and waste is limited. The soils are treated with organic matter and are cultivated to maximise water penetration to sustain the vine’s roots.   The Pegões vineyard is located between two Nature Reserves: the Tagus estuary to the Northwest and the Sado on the Southwest. To the east are the Arrabida hills and to the west the Alentejo province’s clays. The unique soil here is named “Pliocenico de Pegões”. It is a sandy soil formed over millions of years by sand transported by the rivers Tagus and Sado. It is this Mediterranean climate and soil combination that creates this unique Pegões terroir.
